Uh oh. Copyrighted music. Just right out there for anyone to grab.

Tsk tsk.

Despite all that though, no contact information on the Coinvalidation website, no Privacy Policy, and a "Bitcoin Validated" logo (validated by whom?) that links nowhere.

Yeah, total trust.

So yes, its real. Big government is here to destroy the anonymity of bitcoin.

What can and will we do about ? For example, Im running a pretty big mining operation, is there anything I can do with it to boycott/in any way obstruct their work ?

How can we decentralise the bitcoin foundation as we know it, they are in NO position of descision making, yet they seem to making some pretty big ones, while I and many other miners and users who actually ARE the bitcoin community do not agree with this !

Doesn't seems like a problem to me...

Yes, you can. Read the BIPs, analyse, make a conclusion what is good for bitcoin from your, miner's point of view and vote:

Technically anyone can do this, since the transactions on blockchain are visible to all

On the positive side, AML and NYC law currently are the only excuse that banks can use to block bitcoin businesses. If this hurdle is cleared, institutional investors will be able to enter the market at large scale. Large mutual fond and pension fond will start to diverse part of they holdings into bitcoin

so these three geeks will represent bitcoin community?! the sharks that would be allocated to deal with these guys will eat them shitless. they will be convincing public to use this service and one day implement it under governmental control. we as a minority will lose voice in decision-making. even if they dont decide to implement this now at least they will analyse the reaction of this community and then do required means to play the game. eventually separating our community from foundation which they will own/control/manipulate in future. the only way i see out of this is if we promote use of different darknet wallet app or we switch to different crypto currency that sorts that problem by design.
