People, most especially crypto enthusiasts are now beginning to understand more about pump and dump. Instead, investors go for projects that have good tech, projects with good product. I think 2018 and subsequent years will be ruled more by this.

Everybody is trying to predict the future using the past. Last year started slow and then had a great run. This is the main reason people are expecting the big pump this year as well.

you are right, the market is really unpredictable. but i'm one of the people who believe the crypto will pump this year. without realizing every year the crypto world has a user which increase. and it really gives a good effect on the market. besides, many investors will be investing here, that's my reason why still believe in crypto.

It's hard to believe it. I mean that this market has no significant growth in 2018. (BTC highest price is 11k$ since march 2018). This year may not be a good year for crypto (bitconnect scam, SEC vs ethereum,...). But I still believe in the bright future of cryptocurrency.

I think this is because crypto is relatively young compared to other markets. With it being young, it has a lot of potential for growth hence they believe that there will be a pump this year. Also, the market correction has been on for atleast almost half a year already and this is a bit too much compared to previous years bear market season according to others. I just hope that prices will rise up sooner than we expect.
