Because pumping does not depend on countries banning or legalizing crypto - it is solely the matter of supply and demand, which in its turn can easily be manipulated by the market players. Pumps of certain coins will definitely take place, the only problem is to get on the wave in proper time.

I agree with you, the next explosive price growth should occur in the period from 2019 to 2020. But the question was asked about 2018. And I also do not understand why so many people believe in a strong price increase in 2018. I think the market has not cooled down after a sharp rise and a subsequent fall. I think it is because a lot of people easily believes in somethibg we should not believe because things are not in the good state lately and it might affect the cryptocurrency.

Many people believed in crypto spring and crypto summer, but their expectations were not justified.  All expected the same growth as it was in December.  But the cryptocurrency market is too unpredictable and subject to manipulation.  However, I believe that growth will be, but when it is difficult to say.
