If you study the long term charts, you will notice that prices usually go up during year end and then retrace in the beginning of the new year. What I have noticed is that Q1 and Q3 are mostly bearish and Q1 and Q4 are usually bullish.

Prices have been following these trends for many years unless there is some major negative or positive news which can actually affect the market. Otherwise, this pattern is largely followed.

People invest to profit just like the businessman who wants return after making some hope for the project success, these investors are wishing it will come true that price will be pumped like last year. Though it may not happen the hope is there and next year is another renewed hope for us until we hit the right year.

I am guessing a lot of them believe in the pump 2018 for emotional rather than rational reasons.  I am actually seeing a lot of experts leaning towards a bearish 2018 while the current hype cycle continues to die down and ICO bubble pops (citation needed).  Though I really hope 2018 will be another breakout year.

Definitely you can say that you can see these changes already this year. It is unlikely that BTC will return to the previous level in a year, but gradual growth will be already noticeable.

Many people make a lot of money in the bull market in 2017, so they believe that the market in 2018 will definitely turn better. I also think so.

We should consider all possibilities. I'd say that the bullrun in 2018 os still possible, but not like 2017th, obviuosly. Not enought new money for the fresh pumps.

I am one of those people who are believing in pump this year of 2018 and i am confident that we can able to see a huge pump on the month of december, and if we will not give up on crypto for sure crypto can perform very well before this year will end.

That belief is still not enough to make current prices change direction! But everything in life is important to believe in something and what you are doing! People felt same after 2013 crash. Things will move. BTC will reach new highs. You can check bitcoin halving and compare it with previous years to get an idea on trend.

Even if you do not see the pump happen this year still many hopes for an increase to occur. There is possibility at least this year but if not the pump will show it may happen the following year. Let’s see this year ends and observe the market.

Definitely not. The growth of the market will sooner or later start because of the interest of institutional investors, but when they enter the market, then before that we should expect a price dump, so I think that there will be a big decline in 2018, and growth will begin in 2019.

I highly doubt that the price will recover to around 5 figures this year. That pump may be able to happen next year.
