It is  being shipped by DHL and is due on Weds.

Buysolar  went to Beijing  last week  did training.

The are shipping a 841 for us to test.
They also demoed a racking system prototype.

We are getting the 841 and will be testing it and demo with some youtube and various psus.

I am curious to see if -1 setting using a corsair 1500 watt titanium will yield lowest watts per gh.
Our cooling at the solar array  keeps temps at 95f or lower in summer.  It should be interesting to see if it holds up at that temp.

DHL says item arrives on weds the 25th.

If room temp is 95F I think you will have problems. I have one that rarely runs longer than 24 hours in 20C and unit intake temp is constantly at 28-30C for some reason. Will just go into idle status and not start hashing again until I cycle PSU. Another 841 in same environment runs fine. May be luck of the draw where some of these are more sensitive than others. I may also have a dud, but I'm interested in seeing others room vs intake temps.

Well it won't hit 95f  until the summer or late spring.

but it will get there.

Well if the gear can't run in a 95f room.

Then the T1 may end up to be what I need.

I can keep room at 95f in the summer if it is 98f real world temp.

Basically I can get the room 3 f cooler then outside temp once outside temps gets into 90's

So maybe it fails. maybe it does not

maybe I add more fans or one more heat shield

You may or may not get the results you are looking for right now I have two running in my basement, here are the temps they are running with a -1 offset 32/75 and 31/77 with a suction pulling cool air in and most of the heat out, I live about an hour SW of Pittsburgh, PA.

here is a pic from earlier today and a bit cooler

https://i.imgur.com/G8eqFmT.jpg

Here are the S9 temps each board 82/75/75

I am not sure if this is helpful but it does work well for me.  There is a fairly easy way to manage times where there is a bit of excessive heat.  Put the Raspberry controller's power on a WiFi enable "smart switch" and then connect the switch to IFTTT (If-This-Then-That) running on a tablet or phone.  The write two scripts that turn off and then on the power to the controller when the temperature gets to a certain point (you can use Weather.com or you can buy a sensor for the room where the miner is).
The benefit of this is you are not cutting power on and off the miner, just the controller.  The Wifi plugs are really cheap now too and IFTTT is a free app.

My miners go off when the outside temp goes above 90 and then back on when it drops below 85.  This means they turn off during the hottest part of the day (electricity is in demand then anyway).  Here is a good article on IFTTT: https://www.cnet.com/topics/smart-home/best-smart-home-devices/best-ifttt-compatible-gadgets/
and here are some good prices on compatible smart plugs:  https://www.amazon.com/s/url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=wifi+smart+plug+ifttt

It is funny but it appears that all three big miners have issues.

S-9 breaks a lot
T-1 does not do full specs
Avalon 841 wants to be in a 86f room

Avalon might use more power over 30C, specs pertain to 30C usage.

Still best machine on the market.

These two have been running fine at this temp.

WOW... and I baby mine watching for over 30C inlet too Sad...

I wonder if those would run that way with the latest firmware... you guys have one you can put the latest MM code on and run and let us know... that would be a really interesting datapoint where it's suppose to have the over temp shutoff fixed, etc.

We can run one with updated firmware as well, going to leave these as is so there is no auto shutoff.

Might? Wink as I posted in the 841 specs thread the 2x 841's in my basement right now are in a 90F ambient and

... running at those temps seems to come at a price: power usage. After running several tests, with a solid 230V coming from my always on-line UPS's both ones from Cyberpower and Tripplite reports typical power using -2 offset as 1.51KW - all long way away from much lower power reported by others when running in lower temps.

Nice to know temps could be pushed higher but ja power consumption def goes up.

I would be curious if one was to isolate the PSU ambient temp from the machine ambient temp (PSU colder than machine intake), with bitmain psu at least we see increased power usage with higher PSU temp more than machine temp.

I have seen  bitmain psu's  drop off efficiency   when they get warm.

When I test  this avalon

 I will use a

 delta 2400 watt
 corsair 1500 titanium
 myrig 1600
 bitmain apw
I think an avalon not sure it they are sending one
 a hp 2450 gold

if they dont send a sorcerer let me know, ill get you one.

So it showed up today.

1 841
1 rasp pi
4 auc dongles
4 usb mini wires
1 five pin

no power supply for the rasp pi
no power supply for the 841

So I pull some power supplies to do testing

and  the rasp pi won't boot  gets warm but no lites so it is either a dead brick - tested that brick is fine

I need to test if the card is dead. or the rasp pi is dead.

I have a card reader I will be looking at the card first.

So a link to what the card looks like
