Don't you think it is a little too early to claim that bitcoin has already failed? Perhaps we should give cryptocurrency a couple of more years before coming to a conclusion? More and more people are learning about Bitcoin and is starting to use it. I am sure it will become more mainstream in perhaps 3-5 years or less.

in my opinion, bitcoin does not fail, bitcoin has succeeded in becoming a digital currency that is very useful and bitcoin has very good development and bitcoin can also be used for several payment methods, so I believe bitcoin can be better than this.

Bitcoin is quite difficult to become a currency in general, because it will fight the most difficult and most reliable currencies also supported by the government, but it is too early to say anything about failure

Bitcoin is only converted into currency rather than currency. Future Bitcoin could become a common currency?

I think bitcoin does not fail as a currency because there are many people who feel the benefits of bitcoin and if bitcoin fails it may now have many people leave it. But the reality is that more and more people are investing in bitcoin and making assets in the future. So in my opinion bitcoin is not failing and it is growing from year to year. Maybe in the next few years bitcoin will be even better and attract more people.

Oh sure. I think that bitcoin has big chance of becoming an international single currency. Watch the news. Every day someone takes bitcoin somewhere as a payment system.

It will (and is) failing because it’s too volatile. While the price is fluctuating in large swings, it’s impossible for bitcoin to be considered a viable currency.

Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset". Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?
I would say that bitcoin is failing so far as a currency but not that it has failed. Because we're still having an opportunity and a place for development which will allow us to use it as a currency in the future.

Current Bitcoin is considered a re-speculative asset rather than a currency

Bitcoin does not have the advantage of becoming a currency used in commodity trading. It is merely a speculative asset

Spot on! this is actually the side that people are looking at incorrectly. Blockchain itself is not designed to be a business but to make it easier for us and the future generation.

It's too early for us to say that Bitcoin already failed. If we think about it? ( in a global scale ) it's still on its infancy stage and still has a lot to go on. Just be thankful that we are the lucky ones blessed enough to have known it 1st.

don't  be too quick to assume that bitcoin has failed as a currency, because the initial purpose of creating bitcoin is as a currency, the world has not realized the potential of bitcoin as a currency. But I think there is nothing wrong if the fact is that bitcoin investment is more profitable because of its high volatile value, along with the development of digital technology in various sectors, surely both can run balanced.

To something that is considered 'currency' it must obey the prerequisites, such as the government accepting it and making it as a standard payment all over the world, . Backed up with something like gold, and it must be determined by our bank.

nope, Bitcoin does not seem to be failure as a currency. Because I think that through a currency we can do it even through a bitcoin. Basically currency circulation is created to create commodity exchange value and in this case, Bitcoin is successful. We can do everything to buy and sell invisible coins with bitcoin. So Bitcoin is successful as a currency.

There are people using Bitcoin as currency, so it didn't fail. But it's not a rule and each person can use Bitcoin as it better fits their needs. Maybe it looks strange that people use a currency as investment option because we see our traditional currencies losing price each new day, being unprofitable to hold, otherwise we would have fiat as a glimpsed investment too and not only to pay for our needs.

For me, this doesn’t mean that it failed. I mean, today btc seems more effective as an investment method but in future we can use it as a currency. I think the market needs time. Why you hurry this much? Let’s wait and see what will happen about bitcoin in future.

The current bitcoin is not really stable and hard to become a currency. Bitcoin can be a type of digital asset. digital gold. People can buy storage and investment. But that does not mean that bitcoin has failed. Hopefully in the future bitcoin will stabilize prices and will be the next currency in the future

Bitcoin is still have more things to do in the future. Yes, its an investments but as innovation do its way, it is used as a form of payment. Why call bitcoin an "e-currency"? Because people consider it a currency that they use in their online transactions. I also use bitcoin in reloading my phone and for paying my bills. So you can consider it as a investments and a currency. In our new era of blockchain, anything can happen. So lets just go to this hype.
