Bitmain Launches the New Antminer B3 Miner

Grabbed one a few hours before they sold out.  My only worry is that it's for one coin and one coin only.  So long as that coin doesn't flop, I imagine ROI won't be tough with such a low power consumption.

The one algo thing also came up with the Antminer A3 and Blake2b, with Sia being the only coin that was mineable with the Blake2b algo. You'll get the first batch advantage (for us regular consumers) with the B3 at the very least. Difficulty will probably rise just like with Sia, but if there isn't much competition from other manufacturers you'll most likely be okay.

With Bitmain having an actually partnership with Bytom, I wouldn't be surprised if Bitmain is the only one making ASICs.  So long as  I can make the price difference between batch 1 and 2 in profit, and Bitmain doesn't run their own ASICs, I'll be quite happy.

Seems like a bunch of wishful thinking and whooie...if you ask me....but I did not get one..so likely it will do just fine (how my life works in the world of asic choices)

We will not say whether it is possible to sell only inside the China before releases. Most of the ASIC hardware providers take the order for the ASIC with the prior payment mate. Since I am little out of researching the ASIC hardware.
This news seems very fresh one for me. Still confirm is that possible Chinese custom team in airport allowing these products. I am okay even with the custom charges mate.

I honestly don't know who or what this is for, and the sale page offers no description (not even the algo or coin info), so meh. I do like the wattage, if it's even remotely profitable it will make a nice space heater, but seeing as it's now late spring I can wait for one of those for 5-6 months (or just keep using my silent little S5, I suppose)...

It wont make much of a heater at 360watts. Too little heat generated.

For a bedroom? Perfect. It won't heat a room, but when you shut off the heating for the night and leave this little guy running, you'll stay nice and warm...

A developer just stated it in the Discord within the last hour.  It might be elsewhere, but it was the first I heard of it.  Same developer also believes GPUs will hash better, and the B3 will only profit more due to low power consumption.  The second claim hasn't been tested and is hopefully incorrect.

Not sure about that. I talked to Bitmain's customer support representative and he confirmed that they're selling a total of 2500. Maybe I misunderstood.
