Why do you even include Blake and other ASIC-algos on GPU mining software?

Seriously, why?

Read the answer in the previous post.

UberMiner is written from scratch, from a team of developers, handmade with love Smiley

Is there any comparison chart of profits between uberminer and others?

I would also be interested in this.  I've been a little bit on the fence with trying this out and there are a lot of mining opportunities right now.  If this product were comparable to Nicehash it might be more interesting.  Competition is ALWAYS good and it is certainly refreshing to see this project.  The UI looks nice and the capability seems attractive.

The lack of postings from users citing differences either means that people are trying to keep it quiet or that it just isn't worth mentioning.

Either way, it looks cool... I should be trying it soon but like I said... too many other Mine & HODL opportunities to look at right now... but I'm getting impatient lol and this looks too cool to not try.  Heck, I'll probably throw my test rig at it soon... like in the next day or two.

Competition is always good, but 120 min to benchmark a 5 card rig?
And no ability to (de)select algos?
Why do you even include Blake and other ASIC-algos on GPU mining software?

Each algorithm has to be tested at least 5 minutes in order to get an accurate result.

None of the algorithms is ASIC based. The algorithm blake2s (perfectly minable with NVIDIA) and not blake.
So it's either more algorithms (=more profit) or short benchmarking time. What would you chose? Smiley

The ability to exclude algorithms will probably included in a new version.

Even though an algo may not be ASIC "based" there are several supported in this miner that are mined by ASIC and widely acknowledged of being ASIC algorithms.

However, sometimes there are new coins that on algos like Skein that may still be worth mining even though there is an ASIC/FPGA for it because some of the new coins haven't been hit by the ASIC/FPGA yet.

So, I agree with the dev to have these algos in the product.  Even if their use may be more limited once FPGA/ASIC network hash domination sets in.

Thank you for your interest in UberMiner and your kind words!

The software is very new (it was released just a month ago) and this is the reason that it is not cited that much yet. Additionally, at this stage,  marketing of the product has not been started yet.

Your feedback is very valuable to us and it will definitely influence the final form of UberMiner.

I am using UberMiner and I am pretty happy with the results! Great work  Wink

Do you plan adding overclocking abilities? What overclock settings you suggest for GTX 1070?

We may add overclocking abilities in the future.

Meanwhile, here are some conservative overclock settings to start with using AfterBurner:

Power 85%
Temp 77
Core Clock +80
Mem Clock +500

Of course you may go higher than that, depending on how lucky you are Smiley

Many thanks! I was able to go higher than that without any problem. Profitability is very good (considering the fact that this isn't the best period for mining.) Lets hope for the best in the future!!!

Keep up the good work!  Grin

Hi, regarding benchmarking, would you recommend leaving the cards overclocked or set them at their default core and mem clock while benchmarking? Thanks.

who can tell how many one GTX 1070 is currently mining? I have an installation of 8 cards.
whattomine.com shows 0.0012-0.00126 for the production of ETH/ETC

You should definitely overclock the cards, but try to be not very aggressive. Since UberMiner is a multi-algo miner, your overclock settings must work with all algorithms.

Since we happen to run a similar rig I can tell you that the profitability during the last 24 hours was  around 0.00175 BTC. But since the profitability fluctuates a lot, I cannot make any predictions about the future (even for the next hour).

There is an old saying in Hollywood that applies in economy and cryptocurrency too:

"Nobody knows nothing"

Meaning not one person in the entire motion picture field knows for a certainty what's going to work. Every time out it's a guess and, if you're lucky, an educated one.

We agree with freshcoinsminer. The good news is that the profitability almost doubled today, lets hope that this is not temporary.
