... But surely you can`t send any ERC20 coins on it..beware!
You will be able to save the private key of your wallet so ERC20 tokens can be managed if needed. It is also necessary to check some details every time you log in (Be aware of phishing sites).

I have already talked about this several times, for me a very convenient is the desktop version of the beta.mycrypto, they have a cool team that used to work at Mew
You can't never admit if this is really safe until you admit you are the only owner of the private-keys. This matter doesn't need a cool team.

Personally I use a ledger nano, it's very straightforward to use and I'm reasonably confident my investments are safe Smiley

I never leave my funds on an exchange unless I'm actively trading.

I see the security of myetherwallet is not good and easy to hack. Therefore, to store large amounts of ETH you should invest Wallet Purse Ledger. This is currently the most secure wallet.

I agree with you. Recently, we can observe that scammers have become more active and cases of breaking into a purse have become more frequent. I believe that there is nothing more reliable and convenient than hardware wallets.

Hardware wallets is the safest place to store your ethereum.  You can try ethereum blue wallet or myetherwallet they are good just like hardware wallets.

I'm currently storing my key file on a USB stick and it works fine for me. You just won't have all the same safeguards as a Nano S, so you'll have to keep track of it extremely well.

I keep my USB on a lanyard with my keys, so I'll always know where it is.

I'm definitely in the minority, but for the majority of people who aren't both technically savvy and very vigilant, a reputable exchange like Gemini or Coinbase is the best place. You have to weigh the odds of a catastrophic exchange hack vs personally losing your key, having malware on your system, entering the wrong address, or all the other ways regular people lose ETH.

For those who are technically savvy and vigilant, hardware wallets are the way to go.

in my opinion to be able to store ethereum and some tokens that work together from ethereum and created from smart contract ethereum you can keep it in myetherwallet, do not be afraid there is still very safe.

There are a lot of e-wallet stores out there besides MEW, which is coinbase, e-wallet is well known for its popularity and good security. Every time I shop ETH and BTC, my choice is always Coinbase. For safest, you should store at hardware wallets such as Ledge Nano S and Trezor if trade demand is low.

The best choice is to use separated hardware wallet. Another option is to buy cheap laptop with recently installed operation system without Trojan horses and install ETH local wallet on it.

Myetherwallet is good and easy to use. If you keep your PC clean and safe from viruses. Everything is safe. And you can also use a hard wallet to store your ETH absolutely safe

MEW is still safe to store ETh or some ERC-20 token. Dont send private key to anyone, using Metamask addon to login or Leger nano wallet to enhance more security. And finally, please aware of scammers in everywhere

If you are an active user of the computer, then the method of storage in the desktop wallet is just for you. Desktop wallets are very popular, in addition, they provide a high level of protection of funds. It is worth knowing that computer wallets are also divided into thick and thin. Thick wallets - this is fully synchronized with the blocking program. The fat one will be steeper than the thin one, because it is safer at times.

Couple of DNS servers were hijacked to resolve http://myetherwallet.com users to be redirected to a phishing site. This is not on @myetherwallet side, we are in the process of verifying which servers to get it resolved asap.
Myether would really be just enough for your ETH to be safe as long you do keep up its privatekey to regain access to that wallet and you don't actively use up that wallet it would be just still the same when you are storing it up on a hardwallet but if you do feel secure with hardware ones then it would be still a good option and its been commonly being used by those people who do aim for long term holds specially when possessing up some serious amount of tokens.

Try to use wallet that have applications and can be installed on your smartphone in this way you don't have to open your MEW to store your ETH, but as for new coins you need erc20 wallet to store them and the best option is mew, so careful when you open the site.

Get a hardware wallet like the ledger nano s and you should be safe in storing there your cryptos. Currently, it's the safest way to keep them.

u're keeping nothing in mew – it's just an access (to the blockchain) tool.
