Why would you use a crypto currency created and controlled by the government? We already have fiat currency, we will not be needing that garbage to be honest. The main reason people are using crypto currency is because it is decentralized and free from government control. As soon as the government starts controlling the currencies it ends up being a centralized currency, something everyone is trying to get rid of.

Certainly everybody and every governments can do it. But, we don't know when governments will create their own cryptocurrencies, Will they give us freedom?
it will be centralized currencies and I don't like them. governments will have an opportunity fully control them like fiat money and it's a threat for decentralization. Just like how they control the money circulation to be exact, if you don't really get bothered by the idea "become your own bank, and trustless" you will seems to be fine but for those people with such ideal, it's kinda troublesome as their main purpose of using cryptocurrency is to get away from centralized system and they need to comeback to centralized system again. But however, it's not a thread to decentralized cryptocurrency, it has differnet blockchain.

Indeed, it is a possibility for a government to have its own cryptocurrency though it might not be in the near future as everyone should have access to the internet first.

It is time for the government to immediately make cryptocurrency, this is certainly not for the purpose of replacing the official fiat and as a second backup to provide convenience to anyone for the transaction.

What do you think about this possibility ? Would you invest in your government currency ?
Of course they can. Government has all the resources and the Intel to create crypto. But the question is, are they will to give up the integrity of their governance to the creation of cryptocurrency in their name?

They can if they really wanted to, government can be able to do that just like how they made their fiat. I saw in my thread last time a sweden coins if I am not mistaken. Haven't read anything about that coin yet, but maybe swedish already created their own cryptos. Correct me if I am wrong.

It will be a good Idea if the government in my country will create their own cryptocurrency currency for their project I am pretty much sure that many crypto supporters will love to invest because it is not just about making profit for personal gain but it is also about helping the country. Imagine you will surely earn big and at the same time helping your own homeland.

What do you think about this possibility ? Would you invest in your government currency ?
It really depends on the use case, in Ireland you can buy the Irish Coin and have advantages if you are a tourit, but the overall use cases and benefits are really low. Estonia is also planning to have an own cryptocurrency with better use cases. And Venezuela has created the crypto currency Petrodollar which is aligned to the oil price. I think we will see a lot more of that in the future. We will see more cryptocurrencies created by governments in the future that is correct, the real question is if we're going to see any cryptocurrency that is worth our time, and in my opinion we are not going to see that, governments are not going to create something that doesn't benefit them I'm pretty sure that there are going to be many backdoors that will allow to them to confiscate your coins without you realizing it.

Anyone can make a crypto currency if there is a capital to make it. If the government does intend to make the crypto currency it seems possible, but they have to compete in the market.

The government certainly can do anything to make and advance the welfare of its citizens, and for now the trend that is happening globally is the use of cryptocurrency, I am sure that it is time for the country to make crypto so that it can make the transaction more efficient.

Yes of course. Every one of us can make another digital currency as long have knowledge and finances in the venture. The government can make digital currency. If they make another coin, the general population on their surroundings are getting premium, and they acknowledge and contribute to it since this will be genuine. If it happens, then it will be numerous individuals embrace the digital currency.

In case the government will creates it's own crypto coin it should be more advantages than disadvantages and of course it is all for the sake of better economic result in the future. Government should convince the citizens to support the project for the project is not for the good of 10 persons but it is all for the good of all. It should be more benefits for the investors. It seems easy to say words but in reality there are possibilities to banned cryptocurrency or let it fill the land.

There is the possibility that the government will create their own cryptocurrency but since the government is not about just earning for profit, I doubt you would make money out of it. You could probably use it though for risk hedging purposes.

This is indeed what the government should do. Many states are currently unresponsive or approaching negatively. The states that are now neutrally dependent on our time will have to make a lot of effort to be able to catch up with this technology ...

That will be great if government create a own cryptocurrency for their country in future. I think that move will be a great advantages for economic result of country, because citizens will probably accept new technology with new currency especially if banks won't be involved. Because banks this days take too much money for just having account, it will be great if we can make own account without monthly cost.

a government is able to regulate cryptocurrency, then I almost certain that they would be able to issue their own crypto coins. The reason why they haven't is because the government is usually the last to upgrade to the most modern experimental technology. I mean, most of the tech they use services the their needs efficiently. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
