Why would you use a crypto currency created and controlled by the government? We already have fiat currency, we will not be needing that garbage to be honest. The main reason people are using crypto currency is because it is decentralized and free from government control. It will be a good Idea if the government in my country will create their own cryptocurrency currency for their project I am pretty much sure that many crypto supporters will love to invest because it is not just about making profit for personal gain but it is also about helping the country. It really depends on the use case, in Ireland you can buy the Irish Coin and have advantages if you are a tourit, but the overall use cases and benefits are really low. Estonia is also planning to have an own cryptocurrency with better use cases. And Venezuela has created the crypto currency Petrodollar which is aligned to the oil price. I think we will see a lot more of that in the future.

We will see more cryptocurrencies created by governments in the future that is correct, the real question is if we're going to see any cryptocurrency that is worth our time, and in my opinion we are not going to see that, governments are not going to create something that doesn't benefit them I'm pretty sure that there are going to be many backdoors that will allow to them to confiscate your coins without you realizing it.

If they make another coin, the general population on their surroundings are getting premium, and they acknowledge and contribute to it since this will be genuine. In case the government will creates it's own crypto coin it should be more advantages than disadvantages and of course it is all for the sake of better economic result in the future. There is the possibility that the government will create their own cryptocurrency but since the government is not about just earning for profit, I doubt you would make money out of it. You could probably use it though for risk hedging purposes.

I think that move will be a great advantages for economic result of country, because citizens will probably accept new technology with new currency especially if banks won't be involved. a government is able to regulate cryptocurrency, then I almost certain that they would be able to issue their own crypto coins. The reason why they haven't is because the government is usually the last to upgrade to the most modern experimental technology.  I mean, most of the tech they use services the their needs efficiently.
    If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
