Is Stellar going to be a top 5 coin?

Stellar supporters are claiming that the coin has potential to reach among the top 5. Today, in a maket sentiment of uncertainty haunting most of crypto Stellar still manages to rise 8% in USD value over the last 24 hours.

I think XLM will be very difficult to be 5 top, because there are still a lot of coins are also good like lympo, and many other coins, I only remember one that only

Being in top 5 is difficult achievement, but I think it is not impossible. Stellar Lumens' biggest competitor Ripple XRP is stagnant for a while, maybe its bright days are gone because of competitions with XLM and WAN. If some marketcap of Ripple moves into Stellar, we can see it in top 5. Watch Wancoin at the same time.

Without a doubt, stellar is one of the most promising coins for today, and it will continue to grow quite rapidly for several years. I don't know if this altcoin will be able to get into the top 5, but definitely, this coin will get 6th or 7th place.

I think it's can happen only if they successfully launch masternode with such huge amount of coin as it needed for masternode it certainly can drive new investor to buy stellar

I do not think so. It seems to me that it is very difficult to get into the top 5 coins now. The cryptology has its own rules and traditions.

Nobody knows such things. In my opinion, there so many great projects in top50, that in half of the year any of them might be in top5. I think its nice and profitable to follow the hype, but it's important to be smart doing that.

Stellar has a lot going for it. There's two billion unbanked people and that's their main target.

It could be temporarily, but I don't think that it belongs there permanently.

Stellar's market cap is just over $8 billion for the moment, and the #5th ranked EOS has a market cap of over $15 billion. So for XLM to make a move to the top 5 coins, it needs double its price from the current prices. I simply don't see this working out over the long run, since imo Stellar has already been pumped quite hard over the last few months and there is very little more room for prices to grow, while EOS itself is probably going to continue to go up in the meanwhile as main net launch gets closer and closer.

Just think about it - which coin is Stellar going to replace in the top 5? ETH? BCH? EOS? XRP? Maybe BCH, but even BCH has triple the market cap of stellar.

the position in the coinmarketcap is change and stellar get number eight but it could possible for stellar to move into top five coin list but it needs more support from their fans. but ripple increase in the short-term and I think stellar will compete with ripple and cardano and meanwhile, tron and iota trying to join the competition too because they are in the top ten coin list. everything could be happening in the cryptocurrency and we cannot predict with correct and only waiting for the new list.

Stellar still a dark horse to me actually. I really can't understand how it could be do that. There are a hard competition on the top. BTC, Ripple, ETH bitcoin cash, cardano , eos, litecoin... People can't wait when EOS will show their platform . The same with Cardano. It would be huge if it will works in the future, Litecoin still good, Banks love Ripple... So I can't see Stellar on top 5. It would be lucky if Stellar will be in 10th, cause I can't see any distinctive feature on Stellar platform. We'll see what happened but I don't think Stellar can beat someone from top 5.

Stellar is also one of my favorites and a solid investment. I'm kicking my self in the ass for not loading up on more of it when it was down to .18-.22 cents usd a few weeks ago. I definitely see it staying in the top 5 in the next year or 2.

I also see that the ripple coin is more potent than stellar. I also think that the current ripple price increase is higher than the stellar rate, and I hope the price of this ripple will continue to increase at the end of the year

Of course ripple is more better than stellar ever since before because ripple its obvious that ripple is more popular and has also a higher price when compared to stellar although stellar had also got a good comunity with lots of supporters just by basing on their forum ( mystellar.org ) but overall we wont know if the legacy of ripple will continue until the future or it will be replaced  and de throned by stellar lumens. Only time can tell.

I think its not possible anymore. No other can pass top 2 coins bitcoin, ethereum. Ripple is basically better than stellar lumens so it cannot pass it too. It can only and maybe pass bitcoin cash but even with that eos is better.

If XRP investors switch to XLM, it may surpass ETH, in any case, XLM for me is better than XRP which is centralized. XLM will become top 5 maybe this year, I have a good feeling about it.
