Recently many people who bought bitcoin years ago find themselves sitting on an untouchable bounty. Those lucky guys who purchased or mined just a few bitcoins at the start of the age of cryptocurrency nowadays can boast about their savings. However, some of them are now in a painful limbo, because they can't remember the complex security passwords needed to get to their bitcoin wallet. Unlike a bank, bitcoin has no central hotline to call for a reset. This is really a bad thing,it's like forgetting a bank account password, but there's no bank to call to reset it. That money is lost forever. That might be a lot of money at today’s exchange rate.

Actyally, this bad thing happened to me last year, and my friend recommend  this website:http://recovermybtc.com/ to me,she said she has retrieved her bitcoin wallet password through it,and I download this software,it really works after I used it,and you need to pay some service fee to them, but it's not high.Somebody who lost their bitcoin password can make a try, good luck.

For bitcoin wallet holders who have forgotten their passwords, all may not be as bad as it seems.

You have a point but I think there is a chance that even the pro will forget their password because we cant predict what will happen in the future. I think all those bitcoin wallet holders are responsible enough in terms of remembering password because they already know the consequences if they will forget their passwords.

it is perfectly. but where are the guarantees that these guys will not be able to recover your password and just do not steal your money? I think there is only one option: always write down your password.

Then your wallet would be as good as a sea which is full of water, but you can't drink that water. You can just watch your tokens lying there, and regret your decision of not saving the private key.

There is no option to recover your lost wallet passwords. There is no option like forgot your password. Your details are not saved anywhere, hence one must exercise a lot of caution when it comes to saving private keys.

It depends on the type of wallet and if you have a seed phrase. Most probably, you can recover your wallet with help of customer support (web wallet) or seed phrase.

I used it last week, actually, some people maybe had confusion that bad guys have the chance to steal their wallet money when the software decrypt the password, but that software can operate without a network so that user can protect their’ confidentiality, and it doesn’t upload any of your information, without giving them any opportunity to steal your money.

Forgetting password is a very big problem because if we forget, we might lose all that we have in our wallet. It might be very difficult for us to recover it without the risks of someone stealing our money. So I think all of us must be very careful and should be responsible enough to keep our passwords safe. Keep many offline password copies as many and as safe as possible.

Of course this software is based on Bitcoin series framework to operate, and the operation process should be the same for all crypto currency password if they are all based on bitcoin.

Yes,this website was established last year or maybe this year, even though it‘s a new website,it still works after I used it,and it’s a good questions. If you send some people your wallet file, and when they decrypt the password combination,it would be possible for them to steal the money that the wallet holds. but that software is running locally, and it can operate without a network so that uses can protect their confidentiality, and it doesn’t upload any of your information, without giving other people any opportunity to steal your money.  If you still feel unsafe or unable to completely trust that software, you can disconnect the network link to run the decryption program, and then transfer your decryption file in U disk, so that your wallet security will be safe, cuz I had used it like this, and it really works.

If thats the case that i forgot my bitcoin wallet address i thinks its too bad for me. But i will try to recover it us long us i can if therse a way to recover it. There are several sites that may use to recover it. But If you think your a oblivious person much better if you write your password in your note. So that if you forgot u have a copy of your a bitcoin wallet address.

it can be quite unfortunate and painful if you lose a wallet pass and can no longer gain access to your own investments. Thats why its advisable to have a paper wallet and store it where n;y you can access. on the recovery website, im not sure if it will be such a good idea, coz if they are able to recover your  Password, based on whatever information, it means you are vulnerable, and the hackers too can access it

I think recovery email is also important when creating a wallet. Wallet key and password are important thing not to place everywhere and forget about. In case that anyone want to open it, you have to put an authentication in it so that when you lose the key, it is safe and no one can get it.

If you lost your privatekey, there is no way to recover it.
If you have your wallet.dat and lost your password, maybe if you put a weak password, you can bruteforce it.

Well, there is nothing to be done about it, a huge amount of bitcoin will forever be irrevocably lost. You need to pay more attention to your money.

Nice try trying to lure bitcoin newbies into getting some private info and potentially stealing other wallet credentials. Even if such an application operates offline, it can still potentiall store the data it gathered somewhere without you noticing, and upload it once the machine is connected to the internet. If you lost your privkey, that's it. No amount of computing power today can brute-force it. Even wallet passwords is a hard feat and it wouldn't be viable to guess it for, let's say even a quad-core CPU which most PCs and laptops have. Do not fal for this, please.

Actually you can make you computers offline all the time until the password was obtained, and until the coins has been transferred ,then make the computer connect the Internet.
