Dude, 500,000 sats is worth absolutely nothing. Well, a dollar or two but look at the amount of energy you put in to get those referrals.

Technically, it is not worth your time or electricity. Referrals or not. But, it is worth having a newbie learning about bitcoin transactions, while having fun with an pseudo-gambling faucet. Depends on your opinion really.

can't find the official freebitco.in thread, so i thought i'd post here. the odds are ridiculously bad.. so bad that i'm not sure if it's worth doing.
you basically have a 9 in 10,000 chance to win 1.9 cents, 7 in 10,000 chance to win 19 cents, 3 in 10,000 chance to win $1.89, 2 in 10,000 chance to win $18.90, and 1 in 10,000 chacne to win $189.
these are based on BTC value of 630/per.
i don't think i want to stick around for that. it feels just degrading.
freebitco will not make you any real money but you can have fun using bitcoins for free just by spending some time on the faucet and you can start making a little money if you refer some friends.

the point is not about the amount of satoshi you got from using faucets, it is about how much "time" you put in to get that amount.

But you can use it at the time when you have nothing else to do, like clicking every hour at work if you have a computer there or at home from time to time, come on its only few seconds at a little bit of fun and distraction from other things to relax And as for electricity then yes if you'll have a pc up (especially desktop) only for that its not worth time and electricity for sure - its a waste of life clicking faucets if they are not fun and you claim only dust without a chance for bigger win no matter that chances are low. Lets keep rolling

best way to make this faucet really worth is having a lot active referrals so you can get a lot satoshi from referral bonus but you need to promote your ref links, which is not worth for the time. If you have site/blog which has a lot visitor,it would be good. For claim it hourly in this faucet, i think it's not worth because they only give you small amount of satoshi Technically, it is not worth your time or electricity. Referrals or not. I tried it a few times but it gets really old really fast. There are better ways to get BTC but most of them involve you already having some BTC to spend which of course can be nervewracking with all the scams going around.

It take a long time just to get $1 without any refferal About 500 hours if you claim it every hour Expect you always get 10000 It takes 4 to 5 seconds to solve a captha. {Yes you have to wait the full hour... for the next chance to get a payout} but it's not the time you would have spend to get it... it's the time you would have waited to get it. To get $1 from this faucet from ONLY hourly payouts, with the current price of BTC {$290} you would need +/- 342100 Satoshi at +/- 700 Satoshi per hour, that would be 488 hours. So yes... trying to make money from using faucet payouts, would be a waste of time. The referral system is the big secret to it's success. {You get 50% commission from other people using the faucet... and that is the real FREE money} If you have 2 active referrals, you would need 244 hours .... If you get 4... you need 122 etc... {This is based on 24h use .... so it's flawed.. but you get the idea} e.g. If you and your 10 referrals use it 8 times a day... you would make $1 every 3 days. {rough estimate} 20 active referrals = $2 every 3 days 30 active referrals = $3 every 3 days 40 active referrals = $4 every 3 days 50 active referrals = $5 every 3 days {+/- $600 a year .... 2 x BTC a year at today's price} etc...... etc..... This is based on active referrals {using it 8 times a day} and a 350 Satoshi per hour referral commision {remember you get 50% of the payout} ..... When the price of BTC goes down to $200 ... the referral commission increase to 500 Satoshi per hour. My children are using this, with a referral network and they are getting a decent income for a child... {Still in school} The things they do to get new referrals are amazing and shows how creative they can be. {The kids at school like it too... having competitions amongst each other to see who can have the most Satoshi's at the end of each week} I had to stop their wager system, where they put bets/wagers on each other to see who could win the "pot" at the end of each week. {$0.50 cents per scholar} TOP AFFILIATE at Freebitco.in : 1FDuk2tQ................ = 5.39951454 BTC Commission and 21,379 referrals

I think many people would make much more money cleaning out public fountains. Instead of 1 penny after many captchas, you can get penny after penny. Please check with local laws, before you clean out those fountains.
The only one that wins is the person raking in the ad money. You are using electric and time, you can only consider it a loss, unless it's something you can do for fun while you are doing something else.

Keep in mind you have to have "active" referrals.
So theres no point in having like 2,000 referred but 50% of them are non existent.

The only way you make anything from referrals is if they are playing. I have lots of referrals, but most of them never play anymore so I get nothing from them.

You have to keep them active... Only option to do that, would be to use the bonus system, built into Freebitco.in to promote active members. Just browse around, you will see the option, where you reward "active" referrals. They will soon see some extra Satoshi coming their way, if they are active. That also gives you the edge on other people, when you build the referral network. {State publically on forums or Blogs, that you are giving bonusses for active referrals and keep to your word, by automating this option..... yes you lose a couple of Satoshi's... but you gain active referrals. People sometimes move onto other faucets, when they feel the payouts are too low... So giving away a small amount in rewards, will keep them from going "in-active" But sure... it is a problem.. but NEW blood feed the old referrals leaving.
