For now I have switched to the official MIST wallet and wont be ever using a web wallet again. My coins are worth too much for me to lose it to some hacker or scammer due to my own mistake. Also I would advise anyone to avoid using web wallets as they are prone to hacks very easily.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I am still using it and have not switched to another wallet, I am happy with the quick response from mew which is swiftly preventing the occurrence of more severe consequences of hacker attacks

I am still using MEW since I know that it was not MEW which was directly attacked by the hackers. Also, in my own opinion, it is the best wallet that supports all erc20 tokens or all eth-based tokens. It is also easier to use but of course, in order to be sure, I often check the link address and I don't paste my private key directly. Using metamask is only a good option for added protection. We can never be sure, after all.

Still using it as well, if you just pay attention you will be fine, and you would have been fine a few days ago as well if you paid attention to the cert.

Earlier I used MEW, but after reading a lot of topics about cases of stealing money from my wallet, I began to think about which way to keep tokens safer. Now I use either MetaMask or Trezor, I think it's very dangerous to enter using a private key!

With the recent hack, I assume a lot of people will switch to something else, what do you think?

I still recommend using a hardware wallet over the safety benefits though.
as of now Im not using my Mew, I used metamask instead, I dont also used my ledger to connect to mew to secure the safety of my altcoins. I dont know if the issue has been fixed now or not. so its better to avoid using it for now.

I think MEW is still the best ERC token wallet out there, nobody can come close to it. And if you are careful and make a strong password and don't put wrong address, then I believe you will be fine.

Still think it's the best wallet, obviously this makes it targeted and vulnerable but as many are saying there is always a sign that makes you realize there's something wrong..

It's recommended to run MEW offline or else you can use hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledger. Both are kinda secured as the hardware wallet kind of works like an offline PC, signing the transactions in the secure element.

If I'm being honest there, I will keep an eye out for MEW and not use it for a while, meaning not creating more wallets or conducting transactions unless utmost necessary. However, I think I couldn't have been affected when the attack happened a few days back, because I'm not using public Google DNS servers, but rather my ISP ones and I always check the certificate, but hey, you never know, right. Better safe than sorry.

I am still using MEW. The reason is 1) I am using a hardware wallet (no chance for my private key to be hacked). 2) I am using the legit chrome extension of MEW, which is a offline version of MEW (not affected by the recent hack).
This is cool. I didn't know about the Chrome extension. Or are you talking about Metamask? If yes then it wasn't affected by the recent hack, but is still vulnerable to the attacks and there were some hack stories already about it on github.
I am planning to access my wallet when I need to and I use MEW, because even though some Ukrainian and Russian people made this redirection hack, it is still among the most trusted, secure and useful wallets. The last part is extremely important, because storing all the tokens in one place is a lot easier than creating wallets for each one of them.

I think everybody still using MEW wallet because they don't find the alternative to replace MEW.  About the use of hardware wallet, I believe it is very safe but only store some popular coins: BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC, etc. so that they can't save altcoins. Use hardware wallets is challenging to trade immediately, but use MEW can sell every time Sad

With so many bad issues about MEW some time ago and recent issues, then I personally will look for other alternatives and will soon leave MEW. Because security is somehow very important.

It's very dangerous to use MEW today, but in any case I use only the local version, because they say that the local version can not be subjected to hacking in any way, but I do not believe it either, in any case any system is not safe.

It is not dangerous to use MEW as long as you verify the certificate and is sure that u r not using the phishing site. I have used MEW yesterday to send tokens to binance and had no problem.
MEW was not hacked, it had something to do with DNS server and taking users to phishing site - most of the ppl who lost ETH or any tokens were people who ignored the invalid certificate warning.

According to official announcement from MEW team it's still safe to use MEW even when their DNS is compromised but only if you use Metamask or EtherAddressLookup Chrome extensions. In case of a hack attack these extensions will warn you about it. And when you use Metamask you private keys are not transferred to the network.
