You can easily be hacked if you get injected with a rat on your computer, are you keeping your keys offline or you are using a json to login to your MEW? I am not using MEW anymore bytheway, just MyCrypto.

For now I still use MEW, because the issue yesterday that hijacked just DNS is not the wallet of users, by using the private key system will be very difficult to be translucent can even be said impossible, but many people think negative that makes MEW security doubt at this time

I still use MEW and so far I do not get the problem, as long as you can keep the private key well, you do not have to worry.  Wink

Myetherwallet is just an interface, if you end up losing your coins it is because you did not protect your keys well enough, that is why i prefer to use a hardware wallet.

Well, hardware wallets are always going to be much more safer.

If you manage to lose the keys to me, then you can also lose the hardware purse. Therefore, you need to keep your goods qualitatively.

Yes, i still using MEW, i know that MEW got hacked but it depends on the user also because other got hacked because of phising site that they visited or they did not get the instruction of MEW on how to prevent on getting hacked. They tweet about that, and they also give some apps to check if the site is safe or not. As long as you hold your private key and as long as you did not visit any site that is not safe, youre MEW account is safe.

With the recent hack, I assume a lot of people will switch to something else, what do you think?

I still recommend using a hardware wallet over the safety benefits though.

After the issue on myetherwallet website I've decided to use the eidoo wallet. This eidoo wallet is a ERC20 wallet also, this is like Imtoken and one thing I've liked on eidoo wallet that soon they will have an exchange on the eidoo wallet app. You can use this wallet also if you don't have hardware wallet like trezor, nanowallet etc.

Of course, the wallets werent hacked, only the DNS which the official mew website are using but it is already fixed, and those people who transact that time are the only ones who got hacked, because they were redirected to a phishing site where these hackers managed to get those keys easily as these users doesnt know that the DNS servers were hacked.

Yes, I use it still the best wallet. You just need to use the applications to securely log into it.  I advice metamask

It's our investment even MEW got hacked due to negligence of the wallet owner itself, they didn't manage to project and secure their accounts,
I still do use MEW and take the risk by protecting my asset, and we know that it is an interface that been created to be more useful for those
who doesn't want to use hard wallets, better to make sure that you fully understand the system so you will be able to protect every assets that
you have inside your wallet.

Why wouldnt we use mew? because theres some hack few days ago? not really hacked because the wallets on their platform is safe, the attackers use the DNs servers which myetherwallet.com are using which is these hackers has managed to redirect the users to a fake mew website ,that is why those people who are using mew got hacked.

There is no point in panicking if you do not go into your wallet through the site!
I'm using the metamask utility, so I do not have a problem with recent hacking

no, for me who have little assets and earnings in ETH, MEW is still the best choice. the use of wallet hardware is too expensive and complicated for me. to avoid the occurrence of hacking, you just need to be more careful, and use and follow any form of protection recommendations described by MEW, such as the use of adblock, ublock etc

with that hack, and all the hacks in the past, I rather not using wallet than use MEW
I consider that as not a hack, but they take users coin, I had too much friend lost their token on MEW
