Once something has been compromised like this it would take a while for me to trust them again. I believe everyone deserves a second chance, especially in this emerging space. But I’d want to see a long track record with no issues before jumping back in.

With the recent hack, I assume a lot of people will switch to something else, what do you think?

I still recommend using a hardware wallet over the safety benefits though.

I am still using MEW... when you are using any wallet after complete research then chances of getting hacked becomes very less. You need to research and have to take some preventive measure to secure your wallet. So select carefully and use wisely

I am one of the person who was hacked this time, but luckily for very small amount and the reason is that I have few MEW wallets. I keep one, which was actually hacked, for some temporarily actions, like participation in ICO and trading in decentralized exchanges. So just follow my experience, keep one MEW for the things which expose it to public and for more frequent access, and you will be more safe

Yes, I still use MEW, but I use it so rarely that all these hacks do not affect me. I often transfer ETH to MEW for long-term storage, all that I need to work on my exchanges. In addition, there are many ways to go to MEW without using your key.

I still use MEW even though there are many people who talk about hacking. Because I always use MEW very carefully and not carelessly. So I am grateful until now I have not experienced hacking. You could try using ledger, I think it's very safe.

absolutely. If you use MEW offline together with trezor, you're perfectly safe. If you're opening yourself to vulnerabilities, you can't really blame the MEW if the money is lost..

Yes, I use MyEtherWallet and Metamask. I think it's safer to use Metamask because it's less used and hacked where you can steal more.

Yes I still use Mew but with the recent hacks I noticed my holdings aren’t safe anymore, so I resorted to accessing my ether wallet through metamask, that’s the safest option for me now since have not got a ledger or hardware wallet which is a better option for me, would finally get it one of this days.

But we can not just because the attacker hacked in the recent times that we have bad thoughts about it, that is wrong thinking and negates all MEW contributions to us. Nothing is really safe in this virtual world, this is one thing nobody wants, and we should know that after every event like this,
security will be better and more enhanced, and to be more secure, we must divide the property and limit putting it all in one place ...

I do not know what other people did, but I continued to use this wallet. I had to make urgent payments, and there was no time to deal with other wallets. Since all the payments were successful I continued to use it as usual.

Why not? MEW have fixed this issues with dns servers, so it is still safely to use it. Always pay attention that your connection is securely (green lock at url line)

Yes I still use MEW , but I also start thinking to leave MEW, it's because of MEW frequently hacked !!! But I'm not going to rush! I think I still can not count on anyone more, at least for now!

For the last time, MEW was never hacked. Google's DNS was hacked which is completely out of MEW's control. Even if you use another wallet, their DNS server could be hacked and pointed to a phishing site as well.

I guess that you shouldnt worry about using MEW, because they fixed this problem with DNS servers. Also you must always be aware that your connection is safely, f.e green lock in Google Chrome.

Indeed, with the incident that has happened to MEW made a lack of trust on the web and now I have also switched to using third party apps, and so far using this app is still safe and convenient, probably will not access MEW using the web from MEW.

problems for MEW will never run out and will continue to appear, it should be for them to implement signed messages for each user's wallet and even think of dividing the two coins by the proportion of value and volume premium. Mew still has big problems with security and they are also impressed not being able to keep 100% user account safe.

I've installed Metamask as an additional security measure. In the long run, it's probably a good idea to move your crypto to a hardware wallet such as a Trezor or Ledger, but for those lacking the budget there simply isn't many more secure options.
