With the recent hack, I assume a lot of people will switch to something else, what do you think?

I still recommend using a hardware wallet over the safety benefits though.

Well MEW is still safe as long as you also take reponsibility over your own actions then nothing is wrong everything will be safe. Its just that hardware wallet is also a safe way of storing your cryptocurrencies specially when you are a rich guy already but for me MEW is still a reliable wallet. I would still recommencd it but with their own responsibility.

I'm also the same as you, I think MEW is a wallet that is safe, comfortable, and easy to use. I do not want to change my wallet

yes, i still use it till now, i think they will do the job which is useless if try to take what i have, because at this time the amount is not how much, i prefer to store it directly in exchanger
Me too my friend I'm still using MyEtherwallet but because of what happened few days ago,as of now I recently avoid to log in because of what happened so that I will be aware for hackers.

For now I still use MEW for my wallet. I think it's still safe, because the recent hack I guess it's only a social engineering hack method which manipulate the DNS vendor to change it.
And also look, the MEW team so fastly response with this issue and tell their customer. And then after few hours they fixed it. MEW has a proffesional team and it's still safe Smiley
But, if we have more money, it's better to use hardware wallet for more security  Smiley

There are some who use MEW hit. but it can also be said to be rare. I've been using MEW but nothing happened. but indeed if for long-term holding it is better to use additional software such as Exodus Wallet.

After this attack, I will transfer all funds to another multicurrency wallet. And it is better to store all coins on hardware purses if there are means for its purchase. On the MEW I will no longer store my coins

It still is a good wallet. It was not MEW that was hack, it was google's DSN which directs MEW to a phishing site. Just to be safe, you must check the website url and certificate before inputting your password or private key.

Yes, I have combined Metamask and MEW by importing some accounts. Metamask seems to be really a great alternative when MEW is leaking information via public DNS from Google. Although, I have no losses on the recent MEW attacks. But careful is the best way I think.

The hack was unavoidable and wasn't a fault of MEW.Avoiding MEW because of that hack will be stupid. That could have happened with any secure wallet(even with blockchain.info).It was a mass phishing attack by spoofing the DNS.No fault of MEW!

And MEW is very handy for lazy people like me .-. Wasn't their fault so gonna use it.

Yes, I still use this service. Even despite the latest news about hacking this site, I'm sure that mew has a very strong team that coped with this. And for today it is the most reliable purse for storing eth. In any case, it is much more reliable than exchanges.

I thought I'm the only one scared of using myetherwallet since they've been a lot of phising attempts on that website...

I use mew with this precautions:
1) for big amount I have a ledger nano s so there is no particular problem because the private key is hidden
2) for normal amount (for example airdrops) I use a normal wallet address logging with private key but I use ETHADDRESSLOCKUP crhome extensions and I check everythime if address is correct and certificate is green and locked...

I have not used MEW for a long time, after the last incident about MEW Phishing, I import wallet address MEW to an IMTOKEN android wallet, until now.

Imtoken is more practical to use, either to send tokens or to check incoming tokens.

For me, I still use MEW , because the hackers cannot easily hack it. My private keys are safe. But if you have doubt in MEW you can also use hardcore wallet.

If you afraid of being phised or hacked, you can use metamask to login to MEW, its far more safe then using private key to enter the wallet. I still use MEW for bounty.
