Most likely it will take some time, won't happen over night... I'd say most likely 3+ years to see signs of decentralization if that is what you mean and that is quite optimistic.

I don't see other way if this is how it will work, sites will have to be willing to try this model out.

Decades, and what does it even mean "to change the internet". Change it into what? I think the only distinction you can make is between centralized and decentralized architecture, and the decentralization change is already underway.

I think you are overblowing this. You are not changing the internet as a whole, just small segments that make that whole. In that regard, those segments tend to change very often, so in a sense, the internet as a whole is changing constantly.

Well I'm not quite sure, I can only speculate that sites would partner somehow with OIO, or OIO extension will block all tracking and adds for you no matter which site you open like adblock or something like that maybe.

We don't need any more buggy projects that don't do what they are supposed to. And plans are not set in stone, they could change depending on the situation.

They did mention they are having a tour to promote the project. Hopefully we could get some info from that.
