The USB hub I bought (Anker USpeed USB 3.0 Hub) is working well with the Twinfury. I can fit 3 Twinfurys into it (the other ports are not accessible). I'm using the hub with an embedded Linux board (similar to the RasPi). But I don't know if the hub works with the RasPi, too. Haven't tried it, yet.

Hi.

I have some good news and some bad news. Good news is that I have some units ready for shipping. So, the online shop will open tomorrow. Everyone who registered on the site will get an email notification, when the first units are for sale.
The bad news is that during my unit tests I have seen that there are some units which do not perform as expected. Instead of 4.5 - 5 GH/s, they reach only 3 - 3.5 GH/s. I know that the Bitfury chips have same performance variations. But I didn't expect this number of bad performing units.
This is why I'm considering to raise the price per unit a bit to get the development costs back with fewer sellable units. I know that this is really bad news for you and I'm really sorry for it.

This is also why I will make a compromise. I won't raise the price for the very first units which are going to be sold at the online shop tomorrow.

4GH/s over the next 100 days will make ~0.1 BTC ... at 25% diff change each diff
That's of course assuming none of HashFast, CoinTerra or KnC's next batch come out ...

Lower than 4GH/s will ... make less ...

Meanwhile ... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294499.0

Edit: 2 chips < 4GH/s that's odd - I've not seen that on any of the BitFury hardware we have.

Edit: oops that had an extra 0 Tongue corrected to ~0.1 BTC

Hallo Andreas:

just do like a Phenom II X3: 1 dead core

that means for this market you have another product in a lower price range
which fits my needs
I will buy 2 "less performing" units for half the price!!! Cool

Price:
The price is specified in Euro but payment is accepted only in BTC.
  • We start with 290 Euro/unit at the beginning
*Can I buy from Germany in €? (Paypal/Überweisung?)

*Could you please sell also single bitfury chips?
*Where/how do you get yout asics?

Over $300 a unit is a little high don't you think?

2 bitfury chips = $60
1 thumb board = $20
1 heat sink = $10
------------------------------
$90 - this is a GENEROUS calculation.

lets say 50% markup for orders of 500+  = $135
lets say 65% markup for orders of 250 - 499 = $148.50
lets say 75% markup for orders of 100-249 = $157.50

I wouldn't even sell to anyone as the manufacturer less then 100 units. if they want 1 unit get a group buy going

$90 - this is a GENEROUS calculation.
Generous and bitter dog:

Don´t go the "it is not fair" route,
If we were living in a fair society we would not need any bitcoins whatsoever...

1)
A guy in poland managed to get a nice working "Bi•Fury " and sold his first (prototype) batch here for 180€.
Straightaway he realised that it was VERY cheap,
got greedy (OK for me!)
and started selling in his website (http://store.bitcoin.org.pl) for 449 $
and here for half a BTC (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=342450.0;all)
he has not changed the price, therefore I suppose it is selling well.

And thanks to pumping by the mainstream media there is very stupid sheeple out there buying in fruitless prices:

like 893€
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Bi-Fury-USB-Bitcoin-ASIC-Miner-mit-ueber-wahnsinnigen-5-GH-s-Sofort-Lieferung-/251395314018

like 1000€
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Bi-Fury-USB-Bitcoin-ASIC-Miner-mit-ueber-wahnsinnigen-5-GH-s-Sofort-Lieferung-/251395338753

2)
(I HOPE) This is 100% German Craftmanship. Which is nice for something running 24/7 related with MONEY, and UPTIME (difficulty).

You can find here enough information to do a working TwoFury by yourself:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=228677.0
And maybe instead of using those for mining yourself, you decide to sell them...

If you happen to get a nice working "2-Fury "
which is not hand-soldered in Vietnam but
with e-shop and shipping form inside europe,
I would be very happy to buy it from you at your aforementioned prices.

3)
It is not a secret that many neighbours here buy miners in groupbuys to flip it in ebay for double the price. (OK for me!)

Some news for you guys. The first 20 units are already sold and I decided to keep the price for the moment fixed at 290 EUR per unit.

I will also keep on testing my units to fill up the stock. Thanks for buying the first units.
