Price doubled at DGEX..
Looks to me someone is creating a lot of buy orders (small amounts) and has driven up the price this way. looks like there's pretty big orders top to bottom of the buy book. And millions of nxt bought at market. Probably someone created lots of small sell orders to drive up price, then bought up all the buy orders, then created new buy orders at the higher price. Someone tried this yesterday, but failed. It seems they have succeeded today. That doesn't make sense. If the market support wasn't there to buy it up yesterday at 0.00035 to 0.00045 how could someone expect to buy all the orders to 0.000089 and figure the support to magically be there to buy up their orders at 0.000009 and higher? Nonetheless, the Nxt were bought. Funny how people act. When its down it's natural market action. When its up its manipulation. I was selling below market price the last few days and people dilly dally, try to low ball, don't buy, then they cry when price goes back up again. it was 0.00001 not even a week ago. I guess were in for a bunch more whining. It could just be the same person buying nxt, again to increase the price. This is what happens when you have users with millions of nxt coins easily able to manipulate the market, increase the price, and then dump their coins. Of course, when normal users see the price increase, they are fast to grab it too, since they think it's never going to go back down again.

Manipulating the market is often more difficult that one thinks. If you don't believe it, try for yourself to see if you end up with million of useless things.

It should be quite easy for the dgex owner to check if there is indeed manipulation going on.

It should be quite easy for the dgex owner to check if there is indeed manipulation going on. It should be quite easy for mtgox and bitstamp to check if there is "manipulation" going on too. We should get them all to check for suspicious behaviour and divulge all the personal trading information. If 1 person is making all these orders, it takes 5 seconds to check in the db. Better for everyone if it isn't possible to do such manipulation. For example, I don't think it should be possible to have more than 2-3 orders open at any point in time.

Well its a good thing you don't run any of the exchanges because that's completely retarded. Thanks for showing your ignorance. You clearly have no understanding of high frequency trading or how markets work. Good way to slow the market to a crawl and make everyone leave your exchange, lol. No need for namecalling. Because this is a very small exchange, such a rule would be good. Right now it is possible someone made like xx orders at increasing prices, just to drive up the price. Anyway, done with this since we're not really listening to each other anyway.
