How can I figure out rate of mining coins, e.g., interest rate on my balance?

Suppose I have N coins, what's the formula?

Anyone know?

Big accounts find blocks more often but they get a little fee percentage compared to their balance. U can find a block with total fee 1000 NXT which is 1000% interest rate. I would say ur rate is the same as for anyone else.

Yeah, that's not my question.

My question is about what is the rate of finding a block as a function of your account balance?  Obviously, whatever someone puts in for an tx fee varies.

BTW: Side-question; what happens if everyone just puts no tx fee?

Why don't I see fees for many of the transactions showing up in the blockchain explorer?

Thanks.  Do you have a pointer for a good technical description of POS?  Is there anything different about Nxt's POS design?

Nxt has a novel PoS algo. Cunicula will write the whitepaper. I don't know all details.

Could someone send me a few million Nxt to help even things out?
- have sent a few million Nxt.

What do you think my chances of mining a block are with those 99 Nxt?

What would my interest rate be?

with 99Nxt you probably see your first mined block in a few years. good luck Wink

sry i read 1k Wink i have no idea how this is calculated, i guess if you own all coins you can mine a block every "set block time". if you know the blocktime you can calculate it based on your holdings compared to the overall amount of Nxt in existence..

What is the progress on the guy who said he will setup a centralised Nxt/BTC exchange?
Coming up slightly slower than expected but surely.
Expect trading to commence if not tonight then Thursday afternoon GMT.

That is great! Keep up the good work  Grin

Hi guys, I have a question: I understand that NXT is still brand new but from reading through everyone's post I see many veteran members. What period of time or amount of mined coins (NXT's) does it usually take for a new cryptocurrency to start seeking merchants that would be willing to accept the currency? I understand currently there is no large trading websites who converts USD/NXT so would that be the first step to allow ease of use? I'm curious to know what the progression is of a baby cryptocurrency like NXT if anyone can provide some insight. Thanks!
