I've got an idea

What if someone launches a Nxt bank? It could solve some issues:

1. Anonymity. All transactions r traceable, the bank could be used to send funds from one account to another off-chain. It's a plain laundering service.
2. Unstable mining rate. Owners of a few coins have very little chance to generate a block, the bank could mine blocks using deposited coins and spread fees proportionally. It's a plain pooled mining.
3. Trust. U have to trust someone when transfer NXT in exchange for goods/services/bitcoins, the bank could be used to do 2-step payments. If one of the parties violates agreement then noone gets the coins making it unprofitable to scam. It's an automated escrow service.

What do u think?

What for? Do u think it will be seized by FBI? Ha! We could use distributed DNS when Nxt implements it.

The laundering issue won't sound so good to them, but you are right we can use the dis.DNS!

Open [Recent blocks], there should be a timer over the most recent one. The very 1st transaction in ur account must have 1440 confirmations before u allowed to mine.

This thing is pretty frustrating.
It just does not update the Blocks unless I keep opening and closing it.
Then everytime I close the Webpage and open it again, I have to unlock it again.

I have 11 Active Peers, all within 8seconds of each other.

But I cannot figure out how to keep it updating.
Sometimes I close it and it updates, other times it does not.

Should I be closing the cmd.exe part, or should I be closing the Webpage part?

somewhat confusing that is for sure!

I guess after having a bit of a complain up above.
2 things please;
    1) can someone please send me 1 NXT  so that I can be excited when it finally is working and my balance is not 0.00     7325120753602111352
    2) Anyone want to sell me 100k NXT? (and how the hell do I do that)

You are a legend!!  ( I will eventually figure out how to check that. I am still trying to CATCHUP on the chain)

also... embarrassing to say it took me 5 minutes to work out how to create an account... Who would have thought to click the lock up in the corner.

says i can generate next block in 1 day 5 hours?? this has been running for 2 days already?

do you have to keep your pc switched on or not?

how can i have the same amount of coins for 2 days, it is stuck at 70000 for 2 days something is not right with it,

In the my transactions what indicates the confirms??

this is not mining, how to tell if it is even doing anything?

blockchain explorer update

thanks all for your reply and also for the donations.
today i will add the basisc statistics.
since all accounts are equivalent to a mining rigg it
i will add additional informations about individual and
total mining power (like a pool), viewable by different time scales.

Don't forget that network can reorganize blocks up to 720 ones back.

thanks cfb, good to know. this means checkpoints has to built in. is a current high - 720
sufficient and do you have additional informations how these reorganizations are
invoked random, by time or by special needs?

whishlist: a basic peers api would be usefull to add a failover or round
robin service to ensure data consistency.  currently i have to restart my node when freezing.
with a peer api i could just switch over to the next best node to continue fetching the raw block
data reducing the update latency.

The timer is changed after each new block.

Hover cursor over "10+" to get exact number of confirms.

Look at Recent blocks to see if it's mining.

Checkpoints are automatic. A node refuses to orphane more than 720 blocks.
Reorgs r invoked when a node sees a longer blockchain.

says over 2000 confirms, and blocks are coming in ...block 2356 now.

So is it mining?  and also if i had 70000 2 days ago should i have mined something by now?

The pc did shut down for a while, does it not mine if the pc is closed?

i thought i was 24 hours after getting first coins you could mine but 2 days later it is saying have to wait another 2 days 12 hours before i can generate the next block?

The more Nxt you have, the more you are "allowed" to mine. so if you dont have much you can only generate a block every few days. for me it says 17k days or something, i guess no mining then Tongue
