NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information

All,  due to all the BCT.org issues this weekend I created a forums site at nxt.freeforums.net in hopes of continuity.  IMO just 1 thread in alt  is just not ideal.  A separate forums site would really allow much more discourse about NXT by allowing multiple threads on different issues.  Please sign up and we can start new threads over there.  I have cleared this with CfB and most likely he or his designate will take over.  I have already created a few different boards there for breaking up the discussion.

After reviewing the code related to peer communication I came to a conclusion that it is not worth fixing. After a long discussion with my colleagues and BCNext we agreed on the following:

1. Networking code will be thrown away.
2. I will rewrite networking using HTTP as a transport (this is the fastest way).
3. If it works I'll be paid with NXT from unclaimed coins pool (if anything left after the 3rd of Jan) or with Bitcoins, so don't feel u obliged to donate to my account

Some nice side-effects:

1. U will be able to use HTTPS/Tor to access accounts
2. API will be merged with Peer Protocol reducing codebase

I'm planning to have a prototype in 16 hours. Until a new version released, please, don't send transactions but keep mining to secure already sent ones.

Yes, involved, I'm not going to develop the core after I fix networking.

no, I IMed with CfB on this very board, he asked I post the info in this thread...  not a scam, Im a huge supporter of NXT.  sorry to cause any confusion, I would never have posted what I did w/o clearing it, but CfB did ask me to in IM.  (but everything was my idea here) Dude Im really confused right now.

Just wanted continuity and an expanded area for NXT discussion.  My goal was to make it happen then hand over the keys to the devs

It's OK. I just don't want people ask me about something not related to client development and technical issues. I'm just one of the stakeholders. My stake even less than 1%.

This. Wonder if he hasnt flushed his dns in order to get back into this forum.

Also, not sure whos actively watching their client but its going crazy right at this second. Suddenly have 34+ unconfirmed transactions and rising, and the recent blocks is rising exponentially as well as orphaned blocks. Recent is at -2700 and orphaned at 2800. Went up 1000 each as im writing this.
