Whoever 482115092852324318, and 10105875265190846103 are can you stop mining? Ya'll have an INSANE mining probability. You're better off selling some of your coins to spread the distribution out a little more and make some money.
You gain nothing by hoarding all your coins now.

I think you have just spotted a weakness... What happens when a Nxt exchange decides to mine with the Nxt in stock? edit: Maybe there needs to be a limit/time to the number of mined blocks per given time per account?.

is there anyway to get in to NXT without going into that exhange? I'm interested in NX but don't really care for that exchange.

What happens when a Nxt exchange decides to mine with the Nxt in stock? BTC-E had bad expirience with NVC some time ago In NVC you need to wait a lot of confirmations after PoS mining before you can use money, and even more - not only fee, but all inputs used for mining became "frozen". So BTC-E has PoS mining disabled for NVC. Do not know, is it apply for Nxt.

Is anyone else seeing a lot of unconfirmed transactions that aren't being included in the new blocks?

The last version (0.3.3) deadlocks very often while trying to get the blockchain. After it hangs, Ctrl-C cannot kill it (because the thread is waiting to obtain a lock and ignores interrupts), so the only way to kill the java process is kill -9. Which leaves blocks.nxt in a corrupted state, so next time I try to start it, it fails with EOFException... not much fun. Looks like multiple threads are trying to update a HashMap (or several HashMaps) and deadlock one another. Would using a ConcurrentHashMap help? "qtp2032502559-269" prio=10 tid=0x00007fb9286dd800 nid=0x4b83 waiting for monitor entry [0x00007fb9041 a2000] java.lang.Thread.State: BLOCKED (on object monitor) at Nxt$Block.pushBlock(Unknown Source) - waiting to lock <0x00000000f5e3ff28> (a java.util.HashMap) at Nxt.doPost(Unknown Source) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:707) at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:790)
I see quite a few of the above when sending a kill -3 to the java process. Thank you, that's valuable info. I'm going to fix blockchain downloading deadlock. HashMap vs ConcurrentHashMap left for BCNext though.

It looks like the minting algorithm in 0.3.3 is messed up. These accounts are getting too many blocks.

It is a possibility for exchanges to set a low commission (even 0%), and earn a profit by mining. You are absolutely right. This should be a great incentive for exchanges, once the network increases by the factor 1000 compared to now.

wait im confused. is the code open source? has anyone audited it? im VERY interested in a 100% proof of stake coin but i cant drop real resources into closed source code. that would be economic suicide. what convinced other people to do this?

10105875265190846103 is the account for unclaimed coins, it's owned by BCNext. I suppose he mines non-stop to secure the network.

I see 14 such transactions. Mining nodes don't see them, so they r not included into blocks. We should just wait they expire.

Ctrl+C does not work in terminal!
- you can use Ctrl+Insert to copy text from the terminal.

Nxt development news
I'm going to repair Peers widget, particularly blacklisting. Without blacklisting nodes spend a lot of time trying to reach offline nodes, this greatly disrupts normal work. Also I am planning to resolve blockchain downloading deadlock issue.
BCNext is working on merging the code from 0.2 version with enabled Decentralized Exchange and from 0.3 version with rewritten networking. That will be painful, I think.
