A project such as http://dot-bit.org/Main_Page

That way we can have for example .nxt as a TLD and it would work on all systems.

I think in a year ppl will stop using browsers that don't support Alias System natively...

Alias system at the moment is just a redirect, you need DNS to have structure also:

alias.nxt/folder/structure

Will we ever get true distributed DNS instead of just alias system? (like namecoin)

what do u have in mind?

Hey... you better tie that to the aliases... can't afford another round of assignments!!!   Wink

Of course :-)

So I just generated an orphaned block under my client ID. Is there a way I can retrieve this block?

Why would it have been orphaned?

Grin

Well, guys. Something should be fixed in Nxt protocol to attract more girls. I would pay 1K for a good idea. Smiley

My wife spends a lot of time on sites like: http://mojekrpice.hr/ (Croatian site for selling, exchanging etc. of clothes)

Idea: some kind of voting system where the winner of the voting contest receives the transaction fees (and maybe even donations that way) others (voters) get their nxt back.

Wait till it expires to avoid double sending payment

@CfB,

what's the point of deadline anyway?

Bitcoin doesn't have it (or does it? I never had to set it, maybe it's some kind of default and automatic in the code?). Maybe it's bad that it doesn't have it, and NXT does. But can you explain in layman terms please why NXT needs a deadline?

I wonder if the transaction was broadcasted,
since it did not appear in "My transaction" page

Why would it have been orphaned?

U could try to outpace other forgers and if u succeed ur chain will be accepted by the others.

If was orphaned coz someone else forged a longer branch.

If u send bitcoins ur transaction can lost in limbo, noone knows if it will be confirmed in 2 days. With deadline u, at least, known when u can resend the transaction without a risk of double-sending.

Ok, so that's an improvement over bitcoin. Good to know that.

[2013-12-31 10:42:24.966] Generated an incorrect block. Waiting for the next one...

Getting this message a lot in the Java window - every couple of minutes.
Restarted - they still appear..

Is this normal?
