In collaboration with the amazing folks at Graviex (https://graviex.net/markets/zocbtc), we have concluded our investigation into the issue wherein it appeared as though the sell side of the ZOC orderbook listed 293M ZOC for sale when, in fact, there are only 15.6M ZOC in circulation at this moment. It turns out this was merely a display issue caused by orders being placed during a scheduled server reboot. Graviex assures us these trades could not have been executed even if attempted since it was only a display issue. The issue has now been resolved, and trading has resumed on Graviex. As a precautionary measure, we will keep deposits and withdrawals disabled on both Crex24 (https://crex24.com/exchange/ZOC-BTC) and Graviex for a bit to continue monitoring the markets for any further issues.

FYI, 01VPS.net users, our datacentre provider is re-attempting the network code upgrade tomorrow that failed so epically in August. Again, no customer impact is expected - but we all know what happened last time. We will be keeping a close eye on progress and will let you know if anything problematic arises. The upgrade is scheduled from 8:00pm EST Wednesday until 8:00pm Thursday.

We were working on a new blockchain explorer for the ZOC Community yesterday when we noticed this little thing. 1010101 01coin transactions! Seems appropriate.

At 13:20 UTC today, the ZOC blockchain reached 841,536 blocks triggering its "annual" 8.33% block reward reduction. Block rewards are now 18.35773535 ZOC, divided evenly between miners and masternode operators (i.e., 9.178867675 each, rounded to the nearest zuff). This is our first block reward reduction since July 2021; the three-month offset is caused by autoswitching multipools that manipulate blockchains to only mine them at periods of low difficulty then abandon them during periods of high difficulty, resulting in long stretches between blocks. The next block reward reduction will occur at block 1,051,920, and assuming nothing changes with regard to multipool manipulation, everyone can expect that to occur roughly in January 2024.
