The Zetheron Dynavolt USB Dongle ($95) will be available for purchase on the Zetheron website in a few days with shipments starting in around 2 weeks.  This performs generally the same function as the hard-to-get DC1613A, except that the Dynavolt works right out the box and allows 'live' or dynamic voltage adjustments while mining.  Not only does this give the 30% hash boost on the VCU1525 (11 to 15GH/s on 0xToken, for example), but it also allows the mining software to drop the voltage to the minimum possible level where there are still minimal errors, reducing electricity consumption 15% or more.

The Dynavolt is specifically designed to mount on the VCU1525 and 'live' there permanently.  It also includes an open-platform API library so other developers can access it as well, for live voltage adjustments and live current/power monitoring.

Works for BCU1525 as well; the BCU arrives under-volted, but some algorithms like CN7 require over-volting the FPGA for maximum performance.  Core heavy stuff generally runs best at 0.65-0.74V, while RAM heavy stuff runs best at 0.85 - 0.95V.

So what you are trying to say is that all hosted BCU cards are not going to achieve 14kh/s of CN7 ?
Or is mineority going to fiddle with it to reach max hash?

1. We are still trying to work on a solution for Mineority, they might be able to install Dynavolt devices, too early to tell.
2. The advertised hash rates of 14-22KH/s for CN7 do not include over-clocking by increasing voltage to 0.95V.  The theoretical hash rates for over-clocked cards with elevated core voltage are significantly higher than the advertised values.
3. There is a great convenience to having someone host your cards, *but*, given the amount of tweaking needed, and the fact that different developers are using different OS and different interface (PCIe, USB), my personal opinion is that you would have more flexibility with the card in your hands, assuming you have somewhere to put the cards that won't drive you crazy in terms of noise, but that is my opinion.  If you only had space in your bedroom, you would be way better off hosting the card somewhere else....

Starting to prep a computer for the 4 Xilinx cards that I have on order (with plans to add 4 more Xilinx cards down the road).  I have ordered an EVGA 1600 watt power supply, Biostar BTC-250 Pro motherboard, i7-7000 kaby lake cpu, 16GB DDR4 RAM, I am thinking of buying a 128GB  SSD for Windows 10 and all the mining software needed.    Is that a large enough SSD for Win 10 plus all other software required?

Two comments:
- 1600W is okay if you are running on 240V circuits; if you are running on 110V you might trip the breaker, depends on your house wiring
- 4 cards = 4 USB cables + keyboard + mouse + thumb drives if used, so unless you have 7 USB ports, you should add a 4-port PCIe USB3 card

128GB SSD is fine.

Thanks for the confirmation and details.  Running this in our server room with PDUs fed by 3 phase 208vac. 

Good to know on the USB ports.  Thanks for the details.  My BTC-250 Pro motherboard has 4 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 header, and 4 USB 2.0 ports, and 2 USB 2.0 headers.  I plan on using the 4 USB 3.0 ports for my 4 Xilinx VCU1525 cards.  Keyboard, mouse, and any thumb drives should be fine on USB 2.0 ports.  I'll add a 4-port PCIe USB3 card when I can afford to add 4 more Xilinx VCU1525 cards.

So we need one Dynavolt USB Dongle per Xilinx VCU1525 card in our mining rig plus an additional USB 2.0 or 3.0 port for each Dynavolt USB Dongle?

Group buy will open up soon.  In my own code it is a one line change to support the XUPVVP-VU9 but I am also supporting the XUPVVP-VU13.  These cards have many advantages over the Xilinx cards (30% and 80% faster, default water-cooling,  plus dynamic voltage control and automated reboot capability).  My rig is made of Xilinx cards because that has been all that was available, but my next rig will be Bittware cards for sure.

Any more info on this? Are you organizing a group order for Bittware cards? If so, I would like to get in on this.

I don't have access to the CN7 build so I do not know at what clock speed it would become power-limited.  I will say that as a general rule, going from 0.74V to 0.95V you can increase clock speed by 30%-- assuming you don't exceed the 190A current limit on the VCU1525.

Regarding the Bittware group order, they are still looking for the right partners to organize the group order.  I would like to get in on the order as well.

- Slower 8.8GH/s VCU1525 0xToken bitstream for those having cooling problems and needing an interim mining solution;
- 2.4GH/s and 2.28GH/s KU040 0xToken bitstreams (requires mods to board to run);
- Preliminary description of KU040 modifications to increase current from 5A to 80A

Prices for BCUs are very suspicious as the BCU was ordered specifically by Senseless for the group command and the price was much higher.

There are no more BCU1525 available until December, and even Xilinx has almost no VCU1525 available either.  So anyone claiming to have a big order is fake.

Bittware is the best way to go right now.  The XUPVV4-VU9 is available relatively soon and their 300A board around October.

- Since you are mining with VCU1525 could you recomment any specific RAM brands/model  that would work for sure with BCU1525?   I have bought a few FPGAs from Allmine and Squirrels but no-RAM version.
