It is very possible but not in absolute term when focusing in 2018. Ethereum is a great project with continuous increase in consumer adoption through its smart contracts platform but it is not very possible to predict the price movement of coins in absolute term. It could get there in 2018 or afterwards.

I think the price of ethereum going to the price seems to be a little difficult if there is no good news and if there is no project or product involving the use of ethereum with large scale, ethereum desperately needs it all to trigger the price increase of ethereum.

It is not impossible. Bitcoin was predicted to reach three thousand dollars by December last year but boom!!! It was a multiple folds of three thousands which was about twenty one thousand dollars. As we see now, ethereum seems very much popular than bitcoin, so it might even be about $2500 any moment from now.
