That's likely the scenario, bitcoin when $20,00 it brought ETH to $1200 if my figure is correct, so following the history, it needs to double
first the ATH of bitcoin to reach at the level predicted. Unless ETH will have its own independent pump, we might see it rise that high and compete with BTC, at this moment, there's no altcoins that is greater than bitcoin since it's still dominating.

I think that as time progresses, few still hope that the price of bitcoin will really reach the million dollar mark, but even if that were to happen, there is no way to speculate that the price of ether would necessarily increase in a proportional way. Yes! It will for sure. Based on the trend it seems like the bull run is step by step and depending how far BTC can do but I'm hoping that there would be no manipulations from big players. What I want to see as well is that ETH will become independent from BTC however it may take time unlike with the other alts (ex.BNB) with developments every now and then. Anything could happen. After all, businesses and companies have become deeply interested in the deployment of smart contracts. Given how Ethereum is still the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, it has retained a level of trust among its users. The same way Bitcoin increased in price to astronomical levels back in 2017, the same could happen to Ethereum. And with Ethereum's upcoming switch to PoS, the demand will be even greater among people in the mainstream world.

As soon as Ethereum starts rising again, there will be FOMO across the crypto market. It's a usual trend here in crypto land, that could make you rich if you make the right move at the right time.
