Ethereum for holding now

I see more reason to keep Ethereum than Bitcoin. For the moment a lot of projects are based on Ethereum. Actually most of them. I do not see that changing, even with Neo gaining some speed, and EOS and Matrix on the horizon.

It is better to invest in the BTC than in ETH because the BTC is the leader in cryptocurrency and the greater it is.

bitcoin is pretty good if it's to play long-term and large capital. but the ethereum to play fast also deserves to be taken into account. many have assumed large coins would be the ethereum and currently, it is still likely to occur.

if the problem sell or not, I personally for now prefer to hold first ETH I have. this is because I analyze, that at the end of each year, usually the price of a coin will reach the highest point, so I save it first to take the opportunity. although no one really can predict what the future holds for cryptocurrency, many experts saying that ethereum will hit a massive $2,000 mark in the final quarter of 2018. if you hold 1 ethereum in your wallet you would triple your profit on it. i'm not saying only eth will going to sky rocket this year and bitcoin won't but i would rather hold ethereum in my wallet.

Based on available information, you should invest in both of them to gain more profit. I think you should invest 70/30 of your money (70 on eth and 30 on btc). But it is still up to you. They are both for long-term investment and has good potential to grow further.

Bitcoin is always first one! and as long as I know ETH is always the second choice for all of us. See bitcoin is and will always receive huge responses from the community or whoever comes as new investors in this market and thus they will make this coin go at the top all the time. For instance, when someone enters the market then they know bitcoin at first and then other coins. So on some extend its all about the BTC fundamentally.

Current scenario is also calling for the best of BTC and not the ETH one.

If Ethereum implements sharding like Vitalik Buterin said the scaling issues would be gone and ETH price would explode. I'd recommend holding Ethereum over Bitcoin. Has more potential to grow.

You should invest both. Both have potential grow up strong in future. Make sure you do not miss, I think you should invest both. That would be safer than you put in all ethereum. When bitcoin up strong, pair price ETH/BTC will go down. You can still buy ethereum with bitccoin

As a bitcoin holder my suggestion will not be bias IMO.

I would say that you have to go for bitcoin first before anything else. And if an ETH holder will give you suggestion, he would say go for ETH first.

the answer is too obvious that i feel silly that this topic is already long with a lot of discussion!
look at the charts and compare them together! bitcoin has the bigger rise, it has the lower risk and on top of that it has the biggest potential. not to mention that if by any chance bitcoin price drops, ETH will see a hard sharp dump.

in any case i have never considered ETH as a good long term investment myself so holding it is silly even if you think price is going up. and i have never suggested it to anyone. the project has too many holes and scandals to overlook.

Bitcoin should be your priority if you dont want your portfolio to be risky as the whole marlet generally follows bitcoins price action. So dont completely go in altcoins. Ethereum is a nice bet to be in and you should have some ETH in your portfolio as it stabilise the portfolio and also it comes handy in participating ICOs.
