Do you recommend investing in Ethereum rather than bitcoin for holding now ? Or Bitcoin should be first ?

Ethereum has a very high potential this year, you can follow this thread for Ethereum prediction this year https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3464504.0

NOTE: A smart investor will diversify in both of them.
Ethereum to be held in the long run now because for Ethereum this is a coin with rapidly growing developments when we hold and invest in Ethereum. so to invest today will be very profitable for the future, so I will support for you holding Ethereum from now on.
Both coins are very attractive to invest right now, as they both have cheaper value, we know that ETH already gained supports from developers who uses their platform and it's bringing some lift as we uses ETH for investing with it, while Bitcoin is also got some good chances to grow before the year end, just like what it did from those previous years, where Bitcoin really pumping early last quarter of every year that has passed.

Both are equally profitable. If you have a lot of money, you should buy bitcoin as the first choice. But if you have a little, I would suggest ethereum investment.

Are you sure that bitcoin will increase at the end of each year? And only at the end of 2017 bitcoin rise, but in the past few years, bitcoins usually rise in April-May.
I personally think that perhaps buying Ethereum this year will make more money.

In my opinion Bitcoin should be first and then second one ETH, if you want to make invest only in 2 coins, this choice is better because both has strong community, BTC by 60% portfolio and for ETH 40% .Both coin has biggest potential to continue growing in the long term, both has strong fundamental and has many benefits to the crypto community.

To be perfectly honest with you, you should make your own decision but then you're here for some opinions so I will give mine. Hmm, first ethereum and bitcoin are such good coins. Both these two coins are so profitable. So, if you have a lot of money then invesr or buy these two coins.

I think investing in ETH is more profitable than BTC because nowadays many investors use ethereum tokens to hold their shares.
if you still have some bitcoins, maybe you can sell it part amount of it and buy ethereum or you can just sell your bitcoin in ethereum.

I think Bitcoin and Ethereum are not an option. Because both of these coins are worthy of you to hold in the long run. If I have a lot of capital, of course, I will buy and invest in both. Yes, I will buy Bitcoin and Ethereum at the same time. And I believe the longer we hold Bitcoin and Ethereum the more profits we will get later.

I think it's good to invest in ETH today but you can earn more if BTC is the investor so the BTC is better because it's bigger.

There might be another potential growth for ethereum in the coming months and there might be a possble repeat of what happened early this year when ethereum reached its all-time high of $1430 last January. Bitcoin also has the possibilities to become bullish again. Both bitcoin and ethereum are good for long term investment and both are also poised for another round of price uptrend so it is up to decide.

So true that's why we shouldn't be confuse on what to invest like these two should be in everyone's portfolio. So invest when you can have these two yet if your budget is really tight just go with the top 50 coins in cmc with have undervalue coins.

The first you should not listen any advices you should always make your own decisions. Of course before this you must learn the crypto market situation. My opinion is the Ethereum is good investment for long time, but we always should diversify risks. So better will be invest in both, ethereum and bitcoin.

it is better if he can analyze by himself so he knows what decision that should he makes. but for now, I think ethereum is good to hold unless you can buy ethereum at the low price before so you can sell it right now and you can wait for the price if the price is down again so you can buy another ethereum again. you can find out more if you can analyze the coins and I am sure that you can make a good decision later by watching and how the ethereum movements in the market.

Personally, you need to spread and diversify your portfolio to reduce the risk.
I would invest in both with a larger percentage of my portfolio in Ethereum. I'm thinking a good ratio would be 65-35%, with the former amount in favor of Ethereum.

ETH looks quite solid as of now, but I have a feeling that it is a little bit over-priced (against Bitcoin). I would have liked ETH at around 0.05 BTC, but the current exchange rates are somewhere between 0.07 BTC and 0.08 BTC.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are potential coins in the future if you have big capital. I recommend investing in both, you can divide 50% for BTC and 50% for ETH for long-term investment.

I would suggest to invest in both,If you have investment and affordability then both best option amd if you cant afford the Bitcoin then Ether is not bad option.Ether is growing and promising coin,Currently Ether is cheaper and affordable invest and hold for couple of years till gain maximum rate of return.

Moving forward, if, at any time in the days ahead, ETH is capable of clearing the hurdle located at the 650 level and can ‘stick’, which coincidentally is where we find the 50-day moving average, such development, should it occur, would certainly be a positive development.
