To keep everyone up to speed on the staggering growth we have had and what its affecting and what we are doing. The logouts are due to a couple factors no one right answer. 1. Inactivity 2. High traffic load has been booting users 3. In some cases traffic load was so high DDOS protection service has kicked in. We are working with them to prevent this in the future. 4. Some session tweaking vern is doing should help for a bit. 5. Exponential User growth. Some common questions about the logouts and answers. 1. The new site logs me out all the time? In reality the new site is more efficient at handling sessions the issue is the number of new users has almost doubled in 6 days. 2. What are you doing to fix it? We have already brought up one new server and purchased 5 more servers. We are also looking locally to see if there is a faster option. 3. When will the new servers be up? As soon as we get them in we will add them. Why is it suddenly so crazy and why didn't you plan for this? 1. We planned for some big growth double in fact. We have had about 8 times that growth 2. Why are so many people signing up? a. Wall Street Journal http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304607104579210051252568362 b. NYtimes article http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2013/11/24/in-bitcoins-orbit-rival-virtual-currencies-vie-for-acceptance/?_r=0 c. Closure of competitor MCXnow had over 10000 users many of which have signed up with cryptsy.com d. New policy by competitor to limit chat based on holdings has brought many users to cryptsy.com. e. Bitcoin price being over 900 and now over a 1000 has led to MANY new entrants into crypto. We expect TV media to start hitting it hard again causing even more growth. We at cryptsy.com are working very actively to resolve this. Thanks for your patience and look forward to fixing this issue soon! I agree, those are problems. But they are GOOD problems ) You will handle it:) Thanks. Stas

Sorry about the load !
on the other hand its good -
Some suggestions :
(i know you are busy )
- you really need to look at that Setting thing at very least order the crosses in LTC BTC and XPM -
- on the deposit section the "turn on Auto sell " is confusing the Fuck out of people , take that away - if you are tech savy enough to want to auto sell - you will figure it out -
- Buy more servers -
that's about it.
and i assume the whole "register with details thing" is for Fiat ?

Also there doesnt seem to be a sell at market price function. For large and/or fast orders its needed.

BitcoinEx why are you so skeptical about the guys at Crypsty?
I have profound respect for you, but either show some proof of these "flaws" you've been posting about, or cut the guys at cryptsy a break....
They have been nothing but professional thus far, and continue to improve the site and to continue their support on as many alt's as possible.
You not highlighting (in detail) why they are not safe is doing a disservice to everyone in the crypto currency community.
Either put up or shut up.

That new programmer will probably be the most useful thing. New features are always welcome. The security of the exchange has priority.

It is infuriating that the most basic automatic procedure (X coins with Y>=N confirmations -> X coins confirmed) does not work.

Ok obviously we have deposit issues at the moment here is what we are doing to resolve it:
First get the current program up at least up and down so some start posting. Second rewriting how it is handled to better sustain the load
Hitting periods of 1500 req/s for the page
Already 1400 new users before lunch that means were going to likely hit 3000 new user signups today.
Still tweaking stuff to handle the crazy load.
Still have inbound servers to add to handle the load (its a holiday in the US)
Hired another programmer on Thanksgiving starts Monday
Training more support staff to get to ticket.
Thanks for your support spread the word!

I appreciate what you are saying and that's great for you guys, but to be honest all I am interested in is my deposits clearing not how many thousands of new customers you get each day. Deposit confirmations are an easy process and really have nothing to do with how many new users per hours / day / week you are getting. I understand you are busy, but time is of the essence for an exchange.

Sucks you guys can't keep up with the growth, I bet you're losing a good amount of potential traders through this. I have no doubt you guys will get it fixed soon though. Make vern way overshoot potential growth this time! The other exchanges seem to be handling it fine.wrong.. i get massive issues on many others and i know others do to.. easily proven ..which backs up BitJohn's claims and i also agree with him totally and its what i was thinking here along as this been going on.. he's right ! oh and ya i feel the deposits pain and agree with the other guy.. i got tons held up lol maybe kill new user registrations ? but PLEASE KILL THE API and auto sell.. you shouldn't have auto sell running if the site is not useable anyway and peoples bots are running like crap too anyway.. its just adding to a bad problem.. and i know you guys have heard this..a few of us keep saying it on Cryptsy chat there is no damn way bots should be able to trade if we humans can't.. screw them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously stuff your bots up your ass jerks !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the site is very slow and some features does not work at all. Waiting for deposit for 12 hours is sad. I understand that the number of users extraordinary, but still, what are we pay our fees for?
It would be nice if Crypsy stops accepting new users and took care about their existing customers firstly.

Hey bitjohn,
I joined when MCXNow stopped. Still not sure if that was a total ripoff or just bad way to handle carsy growth.
I do both trading and autosell so please don't kill autosell.
BTW since it a message of yours that tipped me over into signing up I added you my referal trader.

I didn't mean that as a negative thing, but most of the other exchanges are still handling it fine. BTC-e's user count is retarded now and all things considered they've been trucking on. Btc38 crashes every once in awhile but other wise it's fine. (and they're newer and doing much more volume then cryptsy is at the moment.) Bter wasn't having any problems until after I posted that, but outside of withdrawls their site has handled everything just fine for me. Cryptsy is awesome and I've been there since the start. No doubt they'll be prepared for the next massive surge.
