Hi everyone!
I've been in contact with a developer that can help us get a few things done to get this coin to where it needs to be. He has a good reputation and experience, Josh's thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=466908.0What we will want to do first is get an updated logo so that Josh can update the wallet with this new logo. I will be submitting a few entries for consideration in a day or so, but please feel free to submit any possible entries yourself. I believe using a liberty bell has been suggested several times. Please submit original work only!
Then he can also go through the wallet and look into fixing any bugs. The only bug I know of is a text bug, where hovering over the mining logo shows the word "Bellss". If you know of any other bugs or even have programming experience, please chime in!
He also mentioned the ability to add in some additional default nodes so that new people that discover the coin will not need to create/edit their config files to sync up their wallet.
Finally, he has offered to look into creating a block explorer for BEL (costs undetermined at this time).
I believe the next step would be to update the
www.bellscoin.com site and compile the various wallets. If you need any help updating the site, please PM me. We should also get at least a couple more pools interested at this point.
The final step after everything is ready is for the user Bellscoin to start a new thread, not a relaunch thread, there is no reason for a hard fork. More like "aaaaand we're back!".
I can assume at this point that donations made to the address posted on
www.bellscoin.com can be trusted, the coin developer may not be interested in receiving BEL so we may need to get some donations in to cover his service costs (0.1 BTC). Any help is greatly appreciated.
