Morning all.

Does anyone know why IFC has been removed from Cryptsy and how to access my balance. I can see my IFC on the dashboard but can't trade them.

Rgds

Depends on the stability and the technical aspects of the coin mostly.

I've had a few hundred of these sent to me from various bounties etc, but none of them have turned up in my wallet, they're just floating around cyberspace. Anyone know how I can fix this?

They don't have any easy way to look at the moment.  I talked to bitjohn though and he said it's an upcoming feature to make it easier for everyone to know what happened to their coin instead of causing panic.

Most of the other exchanges don't have systems in place to protect your coins.  If withdraw IFC from bter they can be lost lost forever right now.  Just another reason why cryptsy is awesome!

Also EAC is suddenly missing.

That's how Cryptsy works. They play around without informing their customers.  Roll Eyes

If it is forked/borked then they have no choice!

IFC was gone from Coinex for ages when it forked before.

There is no point allowing people to withdraw until it's fixed.

One of the fundamentals to look for when investing is a large and spreadout pool ecosystem.  Wink

Its much better for them to stop people withdrawing coins and potentially having those coins lost on an incorrect fork - if they didnt you would see many more threads with titles like "OMFG %$@%$£:£"~{p$%%£ CRYPTSY ^$^£&::@£{p MY COINS"   and their support department would end up snowed under with requests to recover coins.

Also i believe it isn't a manual process for them to remove the coin - its automatic when the system detects something has gone wrong - so it could be that they haven't read the notifications yet and haven't even realised the coin has stopped trading yet so they havent been able to say anything (although COL coin did vanishes a couple of days ago and i have loooads sitting in cryptsy waiting for it to come back. so its not just IFC/EAC that has vanished recently :-) ) Hopefully it all gets sorted out soon and we can all be happy trading again (or in my case losing money Smiley )
