Nofap has proven to be one of the most difficult things I've ever attempted. I was always a serious fapper, from getting a quick fap in during my work shift to fapping at school. I had problems, socially, spiritually, personally... Small tasks were challenging and I lacked the motivation to accomplish anything that didn't include immediate gratification.

I was on the youtube channel "Simple Pickup" (bless their souls) watching public pickups when I came across a post of theirs called "Must Not Fap". The video was directed at guys who lacked the motivation to get off their ass and approach woman, but other goodies were mentioned, such as less anxiety and more alpha assertiveness. I was intrigued to say the least.

I tried it. On day 3 I put on the movie Armageddon and low and behold; I cried while watching it. I cried because I felt. I cried because for once in a very long time, I was alive. The world was finally sincere and so were my perceptions of it. The characters in the movie evoked an impassioned response out of me and left me to empathize. Getting up, I realized I found something, something incredible. Perhaps the answer to all my problems, perhaps the key I've been looking for to be successful in a world that doesn't forgive laziness or inaction.

By day 7 I felt as though I was being carried by something other than myself. I had no control over my actions but it seemed like whatever I did/ tried I excelled amazingly. My laugh got fuller and more obnoxious, I didn't care who saw or heard. I was me and whoever didn't like it could go to their room and fap their dignity away.Talking to girls became a joke, a breeze. I got numbers left and right, approached random girls and initiated engaging conversation. Hell, I even had a conversation with a random old woman at Little Caesars Pizza restaurant and enjoyed every humanistic second of it. I jumped at opportunity, laughed in the face of challenge, I was hooked.

Some days as we all know are bad. I've only recently theorized what the reason could be and will describe on a later date if my suspicions are proven accurate. All I can say is don't edge. For the love of god, don't edge.

I almost don't know how to describe the rest...I relapsed about 30 times and had a few girls deplete my man-grapes into shriveled raisins on numerous occasions. The most important thing I ever realized (during this process of insatiable discovery) is that relapse very simply......(drum role)........................... is NOT even worth it. The urge comes---> you give in---> its over: BACK TO SQUARE 1 SUCKER. What a fucking waste. No virtual girl on the planet is worth ruining your progress thus far and the potential that NoFap represents.

What am I doing now? Jerking it. Jokes. Day 20: last few days have been awful but I know it'll get better. The urge to ejaculate has overwhelmed me and bombarded my study sessions. At the end of the day guys, the world will unapologetically categorize you as mediocre if nothing is consciously done to separate yourself from the herd. You are the chef of your own outcome, cook up something worth remembering.

Brilliant. When I was a kid, sometimes on New Years' Eves I would often make a New Year's Resolution not to knock one out for as long as possible. I vary rarely lasted a few days. One time I pumped one out after getting back from a party at about 3AM. Was ashame.

obviously it's natural but it's about being able to control one's own will. "come on," you know guys jack off way too much. any time there's stress, we look to fapping as comfort.. it's our safe zone, a place to not have any responsibility.

I can control my own will just fine. For example, I can control which hand I use, and who and/or what I fantasise about.

"Too much" (of anything, not just fapping) is when it negatively affects you or the people around you. Unless you're getting friction blisters or you're frightening your local hairdresser, you're not doing it too much.

Foxpup speaks truth. If it's not having a negative affect on your life, then it's fine. Hey, you can smoke crystal meth once in a while if you want and it should be fine, but when you start doing it daily to compensate for that emptiness you feel inside and then stealing from others to pay for your habit, then you've got a problem. I'm not aware anybody has ever stole from someone to pay off their fapdebts.

either you don't understand abusive behavior or you are just trolling me. most of us feel like we are animals being controlled by our base urges. the nofap zone is the way of seeing if we can objectively look at ourselves without the sex. and it's a "fucking hard" task.

Abusive behaviour is when you're harming yourself or others. That's literally what the word "abuse" means. When you abuse someone, that means you're harming them. If you're not harming anyone, how is that abusive?

I don't know about most of you, but I'm an animal that's totally in control of my base urges. But being in control doesn't mean you don't act on those urges when appropriate. That's like saying you can stay in control of your car by never driving. While technically true, it's not really an ideal solution.

When I look at myself, I see that I have genitals of some description, and therefore a sex. Ignoring that fact would not be very objective. Pretending something doesn't exist is not an effective way of controlling it.
