I'm not sure. The most important advantage of bitcoin is its name. You can use many altcoins but keep your savings you will always be in bitcoins. I only do one transaction per month so I'm not interested in the price and the rate of confirmation by miners. perhaps this is the main reason that developers do not want to change anything.

I personally doubted that there's another kind of cryptocurrency that will replace bitcoin not today even in future. Bitcoin has a lot of potential that no other kind of cryptocurrencies can make it so far. Perhaps, even today that bitcoin is in it's lowest point no altcoins could bet it's lowest value even ethereum.

I think for now. No other crypto can replaced bitcoin as the number one crypto in the market. Although there are some good cryptos in the market that can be good in the future. But at the moment bitcoin will always be number one for me.

I agree no once can ever replace bitcoin as digital currency in terms of popularization and stability in the world market cap bitcoin are now in the highest position almost bit the level rank of US dollar currency.

Bitcoin will always be bitcoin and nothing could replace that. Bitcoin is the very first cryptocurrency made and it founded the digital money. Maybe some of cryptos will be replaced but not bitcoin. Competitors of bitcoin will not win if they are planning to destroy the reputation of bitcoin because bitcoin is always at the top.

I don't see this possibility anytime soon, as if you observe when market booms or market crashes all people switch to only currency they can trust and that is Bitcoin. Even if we say that bitcoin price is highly volatile due to massive whale movement but still it is most trusted cryptocurrency among all. Rest all currency seems to be under bitcoin and replacing Bitcoin will require you more than 2-3 decades easily.

I don’t have any doubt that bitcoin will ever be replaced by any other kind of crypto currency because no other crypto currency have that potential to be very great like bitcoin and you can even look at the statistics the bitcoin tops the list of all the crypto currency in all the aspects, in valuation, in market , users trust and providing very confidential transactions and moreover bitcoin is the only crypto currency that is legalised in many countries and bitcoin is the only crypto currency that has millions of investors.

The majority of people just want fast and cheap transactions. Thus, Bitcoin, Litecoin or Hashgraph will do the job with a good scale, I think.

In terms of the technology, there is no doubt that bitcoin is way way outdated compare to other altcoins now who has more updated and more attractive feature. Now the question is why is bitcoin in the top despite of all the problems of it? It comes to one word which is "TRUST". Since bitcoin is the first digital currency being created, many people trusted it first that they put all of their trust into it. Yes there are some altcoins there who are trustworthy that your money will not be lost but compare to bitcoin, its more trustworthy.

For your subject title, I don't think replacing bitcoin will happen because bitcoin will be bitcoin and ethereum will be ethereum. If you are saying that bitcoin will be replace as the top 1 cryptocurrency then its debatable but to replace bitcoin itself is not debatable for me.
