i can safely say btc-e endorses a 3rd party to scam you, that is OKPAY, the lowest cost way to fund your btc-e account
opportunity for arbitradge? sure okpay is here to make you rich by buying bitcoin in btc-e and you sell it at mtgox, put it back to okpay, the cycle goes, you get rich playing the arbitradge game
PROBLEM IS - ONCE YOU WIRE YOUR MONEY TO OKPAY, YOU CAN KISS YOUR MONEY GOODBYE, THEIR SUPPORT WILL TURN SILENT ONCE YOU SEND YOUR FUNDS, THEN IN A FEW DAYS YOU WILL CONSIDER YOURSELF SCAMMED BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR WIRED MONEY BACK, IT WILL NOT BE CREDITED TO YOUR OKPAY ACCOUNT, YOUR DREAMS FOR ARBRITRADGE WILL NOT HAPPEN
all thanks to BTC-E and MTGOX
I remember looking into OKpay and finding out that it is one big scam that doesn't go away! it is run by one guy i recall. google it, go into the whois records and you'll find that it's a complete scam - although it all looks very slick. I haven't had any problems with btc-e although their cashout methods for USD are many, some in russian - as far as i could figure a courier drops off the cash bills if you live in moscow (its one of the options in russian if you withdraw USD). i wonder where is btc-e to defend themselves on this forum... that looks bad. Can it be so, that one of the biggest exchangers is a scam? I use BTC-e and OKpay to get money out from mining. I got myself the OKpay mastercard also, and everything is working like a dream. Eveytime i sendt money from BTC-e, i got my cash IN HAND within 24hours (and i live in scandinavia). So i my mind, okpay is awsome.

Whilst I have used btc-e for over $60,000 worth of wire transfers in the past, my latest two transfers have still not arrived. One was sent on 30th December, and the other on the 6th Jan. Usually these credit within 48 hours max. I have initiated a trace of both wires as I am confident that they have arrived. Unfortunately btc-e do not respond to my support ticket and so I'm left to think the worst. If a recall of the wires fails then I will have no choice but to take legal action on Mayzus Financial Services Ltd, whose bank account these payments are made to on behalf of btc-e. They are UK registered and, despite their denials, have a hand to play to in this.
Anyone else who is considering legal action and would like to split the costs, please contact me via PM. Equally, if you can recommend a solicitor do the same.
BEWARE BTC-E, their anonymity and customer service tell of a seriously shady company.

I had BTC & LTC coins in my account and was running BITC ROBOT. Everything was going alright when I went into BTC_E one day to maybe trade some of my LTC, My account showed 0 in both coins, I checked my private wallets only to find my BTC were in there but my LTC wallet was empty. I opened a ticket with them and received a notification saying they will look into it. After several days they sent me a reply with a long list of logins and saying withdrawal has been confirmed with my mail. Looking at the last 6 logins when coins dissapeared they all had a different IP address. 4 more tickets to them explaining the IP address difference were met with no response whatsoever.
So yes they are scamming people and I am one of them with a loss of over 45 LTC which is not a great deal but when you are hoping to increase your weekly pension it is a lot.

So the scammers logged in on your account and took the LTC, but not the BTC? Did you use 2FA?

Don't know what 2FA is, but put coins direct to BTC-E direct from my wallet into my account with them and all was fine for a couple of months until I lost them as described in my previous post.

No , I am positively sure about that. My point is that BTC-E will not answer my tickets and having highlighted when and where they went to there still not interested. There system is NOT safe.
PS. sorry for delay in answering your reply and thanks for talking about it.

Just curious... Kraken or Bitstamp are easily the most trustworthy exchanges for me. I would never use BTC-E. No one even knows their address. How can you wire so much money to someone who could just disappear without a trace.
