What are the advantages of ASKfm 2.0 social networking compared to other social networks? How does this social network work? What features make ASKfm 2.0 more attractive and perfect?
Current ASKfm is a secure social network where young people can hang out together and ask for advice or opinions on anything that's on their minds, without worrying about the social barriers that exist in the offline world.
On ASKfm, there's no need to feel self-conscious or nervous about what you ask, or the answers you receive. Moreover, the feedback comes directly from your peer group, meaning it's relevant, helpful and delivered without judgement by people that want to be heard.
ASKfm is about getting opinions on which outfit to wear, or what album to listen to next.
It's about finding out more about that person you like, in an anonymous way.
It's about discovering the rules of social interaction in your own time, at your own pace.
Current ASKfm is a hybrid between Content generation and Messenger with Anonymity being its key differentiator. We were not competing with features of other apps, social networks and messengers directly (Instagram, Facebook, Messenger apps), but we certainly were competing for attention of our users and space in their phones.
ASKfm 2.0 is about adding more meaningful content through incentivizing the knowledge sharing, and about adding the fun learning option for users. But as a conversation goes through Q&A format we might start to compete with existing Q&A apps like Stack Overflow, and e-Learning platforms.
