I was enthousiastic about NXT since it's the newest coin on the market.

No, it's not the newest, and even if it were, that would not be a good reason to be enthusiastic about it.

just another scam coin, no worries Cool

I don't get why people think this is a scam coin. I would really like to know.

-The forums and exchange was created by an investor in the coin not even the creator of the coin to get the coin more known by the public.

-EVERYONE had to pay to get coins from creator on down, hence there was no pre-mining. People in the beginning got it the cheapest, but nothing different than any other altcoin or bitcoin in the beginning. The reallllly early investors took the risk of it getting even released. The thing was even capped at 1 BTC per person.

-Nxt mining(forging) are exchanged by transaction fees, just like how Bitcoin or any other coin will be once they stop creating new coins.

If anyone is really worried. I will buy 100k Nxt for .000001 BTC = .1 BTC... and take the Nxt off their hands though  Grin

Im just a newbie in the altcoinworld and I'm just curious how cryptocurrencies will evolve in the next years.
Im not hating on NXT but I just dont want to lose money on this, since I already lost a deposit on an exchange website 3 weeks ago.
Will there also be other exchanges NXT will be traded on?
If an investor=owner of the currency also owns a domain called ponzigame and has been hosting several gambling websites, it's just waiting at what price the investors will dump the coin.

Im looking for a good cryptocurrency to invest money in.
I was enthousiastic about NXT since it's the newest coin on the market.
However, when I did some research on it I discovered the following things:

The currency website www.nextcoin.org and NXT echange platform DGEX.com are both hosted by the same company that appears have produced the currency.
That's Graviton Capital Inc.
By checking the WHOIS info on these websites the admin of both is goldtails@gmail.com

By googling that emailadress I discovered other websites that are adminned by this guy:

http://www.ipaddressden.com/email/goldtails@gmail.com.html

http://www.webboar.com/whois-email/goldtails@gmail.com

These are domainnames of gambling websites that look like scams.
The one that caught my eye the most is: www.ponzigame.com
PONZI GAME...

Above all that: in the terms of DGEX.com NXT exchange website it says that all BTC tranfered in to your DGEX account will become property of DGEX.com
So if DGEX.com decides to take all the BTC and close the website there is nothing you can do about it.

Well aren't these all serious red flags not to get involved with this currency?
Is this an unfolding scam or the beginning of a better cryptocurrency?

Peace out,
Altcoinfuture

my question is why the heck is it on coinmarketcap if it's not even properly released yet and no exchange is selling it  Undecided

I think some poster on the forum asked the owner of the website to do it....just to get it more in public view. I was worried it would cause negativity especially because the client is still in alpha/beta lol.

Dgex.com is an exchange that is selling it. Or you can ask someone who owns Nxt to  donate or something.

Grin

In what universe would the fact that some exchange owner owns some gambling domains make anyone dump their coins? Do you know what ponzi is? Domain? Gambling? Exchange?

I hope you are for real. Cause if this is attempt to buy cheap it's very sad one.  Undecided

The thing is that the source code isn't even fully released till January.

Also BCNext likely owns just as much as anyone else. So I doubt he wants Nxt to fail.

If you lost coins on cryptsy...should ask them in support. I did to get my lost coins back. Probably is best to ask them nicely though. They were pretty polite to me.

To answer the original poster's question.  Yes, the coin is legit.  Your reference to Dgex and Nextcoin.org is completely irrelevant to development of the client and currency.  It would be like saying Bitcointalk and MtGox were started by Satoshi.  This post seems like a trollish move to try to get some Nxt at a discount.  When everything is officially launched and the client exchange is up and running, no one will likely use Dgex, and the currency value will most likely sky rocket.

How do you come to the conclusion that both these websites are connected to the creator of Nxt? You've posted not even a hint of proof about this.

I've used the dgex.com exchange once, and everything was ok.

I Don't understand how this is a scam coin if the developer is using his time to create the client and has not ran away with the money.   Huh
In addition, they could make a lot more money if they help the coin grow.

Edit: I'm not saying its a scam. I'm replying to the others that say it is.

Nxt people just try to re-define the term premine!,
What ist the difference Between an Altcoin where the Creator Premines 100% and NXT where the Creator "minted" 100%?!?
Yes, no difference only a word puzzle.

There is no difference that he Spread at the start the coin to investors (for huge value amounts!)
and just selling them directly. Still every coin in the first place in sold from the devilopper.

Yeah, it is just like Larry and Sergey invites you to join Google party in 2002. Don't mistake Nxt with a coin. It is much bigger.
