Everyone keeps saying that neo will surpass eth.. how come then the price hasn't even gone over $100 :/

I'm not going to speculate on Neo's price versus ETH. I'll just post a NEO/ETH daily graph. If you study this graph, you'll see that Neo's all time high is 0.2 ETH, Aug 2017 (ICO time) and currently it is 0.106 ETH per NEO. Yes, the price maybe is $100 right now. But we don't know what will happen in the next few years. NEO is also a great coin and it is not impossible that it can surpass Ethereum. NEO also has that capability because it is one of the top coins right now. |

I personally don’t think NEO will take ETH, I think the only unique and promising aspect that NEO has going for it is it’s utilization of more widely used programming languages. The barrier for Ethereum smart contract development is higher than I think it really should be.You have to learn a completely new language to use it (Solidity).

Neo has also forms of good potential coin in the market, however it is hard to say that neo surpass to ethereum, because ethereum now belong to the higher market demand and it is now a good coin in cryptocurrency business with high percentage of transactions and volume of usage on daily transactions.

this chart is very persuasive . the market value of neo is only one-fifteenth of ether . NEO is harder to go beyond ether within two years . unless ether is stolen on a large scale , similar to ETC events

NEO is still not a public blockchain (they have like 20-30 nodes) compared to the 20/30K of Ethereum... Plus most Dapps are being built on the Ethereum network and the majority of new projects chose an ERC20 token.
So I don't see NEO surpass ETH anytime soon...

In my opinion, NEO will never overtake Ethereum in terms of adoption, because of the low barrier of entry for Ethereum developers. From a developer’s perspective, functionality is the most important and Ethereum wins on this. |

You don't have to worry too much about the price of tokens.
Because even if the price of NEO is not very high, I still think NEO is a very good token and worth investing in.

You need to avoid news and FUD, Neo is developing at a steady rate, while ETH has developed and is maintaining its development at a more steady and stable rate, thus the need to compare them to one another is uncalled for. Just trade your investment wisely and wait upon good tides. Thats all. |

so at first i would like to clearify that if we talk about neo surpassing ethereum, that it wont surpass eth within a week or so its on the long run. And yes neo has the potential to become an real opponent for eth

I even think a better project would surpass both of them, in technical terms both seems primitive, people should not forget the fact that the space is still young and both have their shortcomings. I just have a feeling in 5 -10 years we will be talking a better projects in the space much more advance than the ones we have now
