Jackson Palmer had a 43 minute interview on Tech Crunch released today.

http://techcrunch.com/2014/05/12/dogecoin-jackson-palmer-video-interview-kevin-rose-foundation/
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

So, can anyone help me figure out how to get my version 1.6.0.0 DOGE wallet to connect to the network? It's set to map port using Upnp in network config' like rest of my wallets.
Why won't it connect? It's not even trying.
I don't believe it's blocked by my firewall but even if it was, it would still be trying to connect and sync.
Jackson? Care to jump in here? Wink
Please help.
Thanks!

I Modify Miners Professionally! PM me for details!

Seems like publicity stunts are not working anymore.

I think it's time for doge to switch from advertising , events etc to actual use and try to make the coin easier for people to buy and sell and purchase things with it.

It's a useless effort to show people dogecoin and talk about dogecoin when they have difficulties in acquiring it.

It's a useless effort to show people dogecoin and talk about dogecoin when they have difficulties in acquiring it.

Huh, what are you talking about? There is no difficulty in acquiring Dogecoins. If you have a verified paypal account, you can get it in in minutes.

Exactly.  Or head over to http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/  and join the community.

It is if the demand can keep up with the supply.  We know that ~75% of the Doge are already mined, so rapid circulation and utilization is necessary.

It is not retarded. This is actually very good marketing as you can see for yourself. The community of DOGE is very big.

It all depends, I believe new users coming as a result of donation(s) buy more doge than the amount sold for that donation.
When it actually helps someone there are also good feelings and long term image benefits.

Do you know how DOGE  stands out when compared to other cryptocurrencies?
Actually, it is NUMBER 3

Only BTC and LTE are higher in the rating:  http://emill.org/coins

Congratulations to all of us!!!
Cheers!
