There was a couple of suitable condition and Doge didn't remain behind in the race to gain value in the coins. Even now it stands strong to test the next market's move and don't react immediately like many projects where small drops in BTC's price turn those markets into red quickly. This is what makes the whole difference.

Kinda surprised to see this coin still around and doing so well.  Even up a significant amount in the past 25 hours.   But is there even a use case for it?   I thought it was just an internet meme.
Sold all my doge a while ago and was probably one of my best crypto decisions.

Everybody wants to make the right choice regarding their investment but we should be open minded to do this.  Blind euphoria is  always bad advisor for any investor. Hope you will not overplay you decision over time.

Doge/BTC on Poloniex is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the DOGE team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling.

I don't think wallet maintenane will cause serious problems. All wallets need to go through periodic technical maintenance. It's very normal, so let's take it easy. Don't panic, please.

The Trezor company unfortunately didn't want to add support for Dogecoin, but Ledger supports it, and so does KeepKey, so there is enough hardware wallet support.

While some wallets may not have lived up to their full potential, there are plenty of light software wallets that support Dogecoin. See the mobile wallet Coinomi, for example.

Doge-Ethereum bridge, is this something like atomic swap between coins, in the case atomic swap between Dogecoin and Ethereum.?

Something similar to that... it's not for exchange, but rather for an ability of Doge to be transferred to the Ethereum chain, where it could reside and interact with the smart contract features of Ethereum. Dogecoin would need to be locked up on the Doge blockchain, and then appear in Ethereum, in a reversible process.

But this feature isn't Dogecoin specific. Once there is a working atomic swap technology it is going to be a valuable for a lot of coins.

Doge's market reacting normal with the recovery of whole market its price also went 50% up seeing where it was sitting last days. I see some people still not happy with this durable increase and are loosing patience. Doge's price also will jump after jump but still we need to wait little more for that to happen.

Quick update on Dogecoin Core. First up, for everyone who looks at the Github "master" branch and goes "there's no work going on" - guys, we don't develop on the default branch because we don't want people downloading unstable code by accident. 1.14 work is in https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/tree/1.14-branding . 1.15 work is in limbo until 1.14 hits beta, but you can see it at https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/pull/1434

1.14 beta is basically missing three parts:

1. The remaining PRs being merged.
2. Someone with a Mac figuring out why the Mac build doesn't work.
3. A lot of testing.

I'll ship a third alpha once all the PRs are merged, please then test it.


Doge/Ethereum stuff - right, so we (Dogecoin Core developers) are working with a third party (Truebit) on a solution for converting Dogecoins to tokens on Ethereum, and much more importantly, then getting the Dogecoins back after (sidechaining). Last update we got from them is that verifying Doge->Ether transactions is still crazy expensive, so we're looking into solutions to that.

Separately, a totally unrelated team have launched what appears to be a new token on an Ethereum blockchain using a snapshot of Doge balances. Which is totally fine, but please stop asking us about it, we don't know anything more than you do, probably a lot less because really we've had our heads stuck in Dogecoin Core for several months.
