Of course, I agree that 60 seconds is not the fastest block time at the moment. Recently, lots of new launched coins have faster transaction speed than of Dogecoin, but I think 60 seconds per block is fast enough for real life services.
Real transaction speed (when you deposit and withdraw your coins) will partially depends on specific exchanges you do those transactions. Your coins might be stucked for hours, or days due to bad exchanges, which are not related to instinct transaction speed of Dogecoin blockchain.

Deeply falls are normal in crypto market. Dogecoin experienced and will experience such dramatic falls, but Dogecoin price will rally someday later.
Don't worry too much with future falls of Dogecoin. Be patiently and be smart, don't be panic, don't FOMO and sell your coins at cheap.

Being smart also includes to frequently look at the fundamentals of course. It doesn't mean that you rely on a cycle pumping up your position every single time. Taking profits from time to time makes a lot of sense.

I believe dogecoin has a strong society like bitcoin, I think it takes time for them to do better development in the future, this is one of the old altcoins that I keep also in my wallet, I also often use dogecoin as an alternative to withdraw my money from a trading site, this is done if bitcoin has a problem in full transaction on the network, it makes it easier for me to get my money fast, dogecoin will always have a good future and be great as well like bitcoin

I don't know there have also been very strange anomalies for example for Synereo (AMP). At one time it was trading 40 or so % higher than on Polo, and it took hours and hours to be even again. At the same time at least one exchange disabled the wallet of course...

It doesn't matter if it started out as a meme. It doesn't matter if there is no development on the coin. What matters is the price that others in the market are willing to pay for it.
And in that regard, I don't think anybody can write Dogecoin off.

The price of doge coin dropped rapidly since its powerful rise at the end of last year. Recently a series of mainstream crypto currencies including Bitcoin are recovering, but doge still seems to be sleeping.

DOGE was badly hurt last September,after Chinese government total ban.Lot of Chinese got out and DOGE didnt recover since then.Some smaller coins with mainly Chinese investors were wiped out at the time.

Last pump volume was 4x less than before and it clearly shows a massive investment hole made by exit of Chinese.At the same time there were no any positive news or developpment for very long time ,so its today position is not as bad as it could be.

So, you are right. DOGE cant recover easily(fall easily,recover very,very slow, usually only after it hits rock bottom hard) as other mainstream coins,due to serious lack of investors.Wealth distribution is one of the worst in crypto world.There are almost no medium size investors who can push price up or down and make waves on market.Now,after a long pause there is some work on developpment,but is goes very slowly.Maybe in time DOGE could catch up technically with BTC,but to attract investors in such crypto competition will be much harder.

There were some talking to switch DOGE on POS,but I think devs in one tweet said they think about it,but not for next 0.14 release.
