For now, yes. It will all change on July when SPV wallet is launched, then you only need some conf files for all the coins you want to trade and "interoperate" between different blockchains.
Eg. using Ethereum smart contracts with Dogecoins, or Dash's anonymity, or participating dICO on Komodo platform or any features that other coins have through The Blocknet platform.

But DOGE has lower liquidity than Litecoin and if you take the advantage of speed, why would you use DOGE instead of LTC if you yourself even know that the other one is faster?

Honestly, I don't think Lightning network is essential feature in the crypto ecosystem. Transfering my money at the light speed. Thanks for great technology, but I don't really need it.
Therefore, I would like to choose Dogecoin, which has a little bit slower transaction speeds, but much lower transaction fees, than Litecoin.

Lightning network isn't only about fees, it is also about speed. I think the settlement is supposed to happen instantly, isn't it?

Indeed, it is essential to really make micro transactions work within the Bitcoin network as soon as possible.

Sure it would be quite a good idea to have more exchanges. But you can´t always trust new ones and it is traded on a high number of reputable exchanges, might be enough

Can't hurt but it won't change much either. DOGE is already on a good hand full of decent exchanges anyway.

Here can be hope that we are watching bottom just like few weeks ago it was moving around satoshi. Market is going show rebounding signs but coming hours by the evening will make it clear whether it was just wave or we are finally going upwards. Doge from here in small uptrend easily can see an increase of 50% without big efforts.

This is the new way of scam and much easy to get funds from the people with this trick. I avoid to make deposit on newly launched exchange because of this that is why I am agreed with you we must stay from unknown exchanges for safety reasons.
