AuxPoW enables the dogecoin block chain to receive work from other scrypt-based networks. Dogecoin miners will still be able to generate blocks and receive DOGE, but now, litecoin miners will contribute hashing power to the dogecoin network. Dogecoin really needs to reduce its inflation rate if adopting merge-mining. A lot more of the merge-mined coins will get dumped versus the solo-mined coins. With a reduced inflation rate, the negative merge-mined consequences will hit Litecoin instead of Dogecoin . . . . so it will be Dogecoin miners dumping Litecoin . . . and Litecoin miners won't be getting that much Dogecoin to dump. Merge-mining is a really smart move for Doge, but only if inflation is massively reduced at the same time. Otherwise, you're going to get dumped on. |

woof! what a great day for mining Dogecoin! Sold some coin today...should pay for a few spools of filament, stoked! Normally I spend my coin on filament but I was able to turn a 400% profit on a few days worth of mining  |

While I agree that inflation should be reduced, it's worth noting that for the next few years Dogecoin's inflation will be lower than Litecoin's, so it's actually dogecoin miners who will profit the most from merge-mining by dumping their Litecoins. |

I hold when I can but I also spend my Dogecoin, I haven't sold Dogecoin on an exchange since I first started mining.
Dogecoin is the only scrypt coin I mine but everything I mine that is not BTC is but a hobby.

so was the $45,000 Nascar paint job worth it ? seems like it didn't help stop the death as i predicted long ago.. the graphs say it all.. down down down.. month after month after month after.. i was unanimously trolled to death and attacked relentlessly and i was right every step of the way and i even called it the exact day this coin died off on my "Why Doge coin is bad" topic here. and want to here the funny part guys ? i am a Doge coin bag holder LOL much sad, so ashamed, very stupid of me  Pardon my curiosity, but why did you keep them after restlessly criticizing Dogecoin and even calling it a scam? uhhh what would you do if you bought at 57 and it tanked to 29 ? common sense much ? Has anybody had this problem? My dogecoin wallet will open onto the task bar and will allow me to open a debug window to see that it is syncing, but from the task bar the wallet will not open or display anything. Never had this issue with any other of my wallets. I saved the wallet.dat file and deleted everything else, re-downloaded the walllet but still it only appears as an icon on the task bar. Even if I just say to hell with my Wallet data and download a whole new wallet, the new wallet will not open either and will only display on the task bar. Will give hefty donation to whomever can help me resolve this problem.

Haven't followed doge in a while. I know about the merged mining but is there any plan to cap total coin supply? Its whats killing the coins over all value. It otherwise a great coin with a great community.

I expected DOGE to go $1 eventually. I had my little 100,000,000 DOGE and I pinned it up as dollars on my wall. Twas a sad day taking it down (not really, but you know!) Like the iron hand of DOGE @ first with the crowd from just-dice.com lol I might buy a few DOGE back @ 10satoshi. Then a coin or two worth for sure @ 1 satoshi for lulz |
