Absurd.
You don't understand how Bitcoin works and where it needs help.
LTC and doge will both be added to BitPay et al and will both surge to billion dollar valuations. LTC and doge cover different niche markets so one will not replace the other. They both compliment Bitcoin and will assist Bitcoin otherwise Bitcoin will not be able to go to the mainstream mass market next year which is the plan.
Im sorry i was so superficial in my earlier post. Let me elaborate a bit. Coins will come and go in the future too. Litecoin will not die. It will survive the low period and perhaps gain some value in couple of years. I was more optimistic about Litecoin in few months ago, but now i am not that sure if it will hit a 25 USD again in a year or two. What is this litecoin niche? Could you explain where is it unique or why should it hit 25 or 50 USD again? DOGE will not replace anything, but i suspect it will be more successful than the Litecoin, simply because of its character. The current top coins have plenty of room to grow. One should not replace another. Cryptocoins market is still extremely small. I am not going in to detail on this, because this is not the right topic but BTC can become a more of the safe haven payment instrument in few years time. People need time to learn what crypto-currencies are about and trust issues will ease in time. Liquidity will increase and solid coins will gain value against FIAT. |

Although I don't have faith in LTC it has the following going for it that will continue to support it's value albeit in a degrading manner. 1. Wide spread adoption 2. Refusal to fork under any circumstances. 3. Proof of longevity. There may be more but these come to mind. |

BTW, as I'm getting more contacts from those who hope the Dogecoin devs have significant resources to spend; if we do, I'm certainly not aware of it. We're not premine, ICO, or even significantly postmine, and core development funding amounts to the funds shown at https://chain.so/address/devfund. Suspect no-one will read this, but I can try... |

It basically takes dogecoin and improves it 1000%! Big announcements coming. How is mining close to over for doge? As of right now doge still has an endless supply of coins. Infinity. Everyone wants doge capped but that has not happened and if it does you buy doge not sell. Oye! |

Stage 1 of crypto currencies when the success was measured in volume of speculative trade only is close to over. We're now facing Stage 2, when communities start to develop economies around their cryptos of choice. Only 3 communities are more or less successful at this stage: 1) Bitcoin, which has the first mover advantage and a large network effect, its economy is the largest of course, unfortunately that also could mean that the time of big price rises is over, only gradual price rises are possible, as a lot of people are already involved and the potential is already priced in. 2) Dogecoin and 3) NXT - these two look set to reach their goals in building strong economies around themselves judging by their efforts, but both are naturally behind Bitcoin at this point, both are undervalued. I don't see any other coin that is close. Whether you should get out of Dogecoin depends on why you got in in the first place. |
