First of all, you will have to give some more info than "unable to update" if you want somebody to help you.
Second, I suggest you also seek for help in the dogecoin reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin) because afaik the most dogecoin activity is actually there.

You could try doing a fresh install, and making a back-up of your wallet first.

I'd suggest to use MultiDoge. Then you will not care what's the size of blockchain.

Next time, before "investing", do your homework.
Halving has big effect on the price, but the price goes up BEFORE halving and drops right after.

Why do you care bout reaching 280?

Despite the inflation and no cap, price sits pretty stable at over 70 sats, not bad, not too long ago it was around 20 sats.

The dump is understandable. It is very likely people who bought near 20 sats take profits at around 100 sats. I believe if you were one of them you might do the same too.

But after this, it won't be impossible to hit 280 sats again. It's just not likely to happen in the near future.
