Dogeparty Hangout #10 - MAKING GAME TOKENS AND ITEMS USING DOGEPARTY

https://plus.google.com/events/cjl871sld8ujslsce68bqi6r4sc

This hangout will orient itself around the concept of creating new tokens for use in games. The definition of "tokens" may be in-game currencies, in-game items, and so on. We will lead Hangout participants through various scenarios in which they may want to do this, highlighting the interesting possibilities inherent to cryptographically securing such things, and making them fungible. Some minor technical examples will follow, basically utilizing the CP/DP API and showing how quickly a developer can get up and running with it.

Saturday, December 13 @ 5:30pm PST
Estimated non-Q&A time: 30-45 Minutes

Participants/Schedule:
✓ [5m] Wendell (Hive/Dogeparty/Vizor) — introduction to Dogeparty & Tokens

Yep.  The Doge have been burned.  I'd like to see Dogeparty get off their collective ass and do something constructive to make it all worthwhile.   Undecided

doge has value ,and been burned, so the Dogeparty  should do something more value to be return.

We built Dogeparty to power some specific projects that we were working on that needed an inexpensive and fast token system. It was not built to make you wealthier in the short-term. If you want XDP to rise in value, contribute and build something on top of the platform. We are not operating a pump and dump.

I suggest you guys come to the Hangout and see for yourselves what is going on and what kinds of projects are being (and can be) built. Again, that's the whole point of the platform.

Has Doge completed its last halving?

Not yet, about 6 hours to go, and then the final final is in Jan 2015. (15k to 10k a block)

For the redditors here is a link I just put in the dogecoin sub:
http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/2p8upi/by_stickers_and_screenprints_day_1_a/

For the non redditors please have a read below, I've just started a 12 month project on selling Stickers for Dogecoin (and soon Tshirts!)

G’day from Australia to all the global shibes, it's mikkas here.

A little refresher about me:
I jumped on the shibe train a long long time ago when dogecoin was still a puppy.
I gave 1 million doge away!
I got scammed out of 1 million trying to donate to a “bitcoinstarter” doge site.
I set up the first “blacklist” in the early days to prevent any other people getting scammed.
I was even promised a free ATM by Moolah (even though they never delivered on the promise)

Such drama. Many scare. So endure. wow.

I took a long break from Dogecoin, 10 months or so. But something always made me want to check up on it, and now I’m back! I’ve been slowly getting active in the community again, but I thought it would be fun to set up a store.

I finally decided to set up shop for selling Stickers at MuchMarket -> http://muchmarket.com/vendor/mollymachine/

As we all know, it’s technically time soon for the final halving day (Jan 2015), so I have been thinking of a new project. An experiment of sorts…

A YEAR OF DOGECOIN.

I’m here to reveal my plan! All sales made will be held for 12 months in Dogecoin!

I’ll then either cash some of this out (to buy materials for more stickers), or purchase some items with my dogecoin to keep it within the community. It’s all well and good that Microsoft has accepted Bitcoin, but I don’t want to just be another cypto adopter who cashes out all of their payments every time they sell an item. GoodShibe mentions in his (awesome) daily posts that we should have a bootstrap economy, namely, don’t cash out! I couldn’t agree with them more. So I’m going for a year long experiment of selling stuff for dogecoin & holding it for at least 12 months.

How will we get to the moon? “By Stickers and Screenprints” of course!

(First I’m starting small with stickers, and then I’ll move into Screenprints (T-shirts. wow))

I’m embarking on a silly idea for 2015. I’ve quit my IT job (such security) to put my doge where my mouth is, and take on Molly Machine (My Fashion brand who I started with a NYC friend) full time (http://www.facebook.com/themollymachine). That will require me to start working at a Screen printing company (so I can still eat / gather fiat!) in early Jan 2015.

For the duration of 2015, I’ll be working at a Screenprinting company, gathering orders, posting stickers, and finally (when the timing is right) release my very own custom Dogecoin shirt! This is all going to hopefully happen in a nice fashion, once I have the skills to make shirts myself!

It’s a crazy idea, but if 2015 really is to be the year of the Dogecoin, why not join me & come along for the ride?

tl;dr Day 1 actions summary: Have opened a Sticker Store (worldwide shipping!)

http://muchmarket.com/vendor/mollymachine/

PS if you want to buy stickers from me directly feel free to send me a PM. Has anyone else used MuchMarket before? Do you think it’s a good site? Or should I list somewhere else? I’ve made the stickers 22,222 Dogecoin (+ postage) - I unfortunately can’t set a variable price as MuchMarket does not have that option. I might look into other stores (additionally) tomorrow. If you have any suggestions or questions please feel free to ask in this thread. Thanks for reading & to the moon!
