Dear Aegeus community, The Aegeus IPFS Solution we are creating truly is amazing and we strongly believe it can change the way we send/receive and store data forever. One of the issues we face in spreading the word about our project, is that it is pretty technical and can be too much to take in for someone from outside of the cryptosphere......Blockchain, IPFS, wallet addresses etc etc We needed an article that will explain in layman's terms what Aegeus actually is, what IPFS is, what we are trying to do when combining the two, how it all works and why it is better than the current solutions out there. Hello Community!
We would like to start by greatly appreciating your patience and support. We wouldn’t be here without you. As you know, progress on our project has stalled because our lead developer, MinDiff, the development team and other staff were forced to seek external/secondary employment to support their families and maintain their personal lives. Although our focus has been redirected, our hearts still yearn to be working for Aegeus and to bring Aegeus’s vision to life.
The main reason why development has stalled is because the initial funding has been depleted expending for the following necessities over the time:
• Exchange maintenance and updates (Wallet upgrades, hard forks)
• Exchange listing fees
• Hosting costs
• Team salaries
• Marketing efforts (in the start we spent a substantial amount on different placements on other websites like masternodes.online and masternodes.pro)
Although development has stalled, we remain providing support and providing responses to our community. MinDiff and I have constantly been strategizing on developing a plan to move Aegeus forward. Our plan is to re-brand the coin and conduct a crowd fund, which would provide funding for the following expenses:
• Developer salaries
o We can bring back the original development team, support team and other staff
• Marketing
o We can not depend on word of mouth
• Hosting costs for our website, explorer, seed nodes and development machines
• Exchange fees for coin updates, new exchange listings
• Provide resources to build a completely new and upgraded Aegeus wallet and blockchain
We have gained valuable experience, and understand what needs to be done to bring Aegeus’s vision alive.
As you know, the product itself reached beta phase and was very close to launching but still required some tweaks. We feel that the product needed to be more user friendly and to have an easier installation/setup environment. Ideally, a new structure in place for the flow of operations would be best. We believe in the project’s vision and that the vision can become the standard. With the new funding, we can propel progress forward, develop and execute a marketing plan, and deliver a working product.

We are happy to announce a partnership with Blockchain Management Services (BMS) once again. Many of you will remember last year when we partnered with them to assist us with marketing, social media management, Discord moderation, and consultations for reward structures, as well as daily operations for AEG.
With this partnership, we will be able to perform the upcoming rebranding project in a timely manner.
Here are some details on what to expect from the rebranding:
Name: Knox File Sharing (KnoxFS)
Ticker: KFX
Block Reward: 40
Base: PIVX
Block time: 60 seconds
3 Tier Masternode system:
Tier 1 - 30,000 KFX - 6 KFX reward
Tier 2 - 50,000 KFX - 12 KFX reward
Tier 3 - 70,000 KFX - 18 KFX reward
Staking reward - 4 KFX
Product: Secure File Sharing Platform (first outside the wallet, and then later it will be implented into the wallet)
We are currently working with BMS to create our new logo and graphics. Once these are ready, everything will start moving rather quickly. We are currently working on the new wallet and are pretty close to finished. A large part of it is the need to apply the new logo and graphics to the wallet once they are completed.
Once the wallet is ready, we will conducting an internal swap for all current investors to replace their current AEG coins with the new KFX coin at a 1:1 ratio. We will make sure there is enough time given to allow for everyone to be ready for the swap. A date will be announced soon for when the swap is to occur. More details on this will be coming soon.
Once the swap is completed, we will start a small marketing campaign to attract new investors to begin our crowdfund to secure funds needed to operate at a competitive level. We will be selling Masternodes on our Discord to new and current investors. The price for the new Masternodes will be dictated by the then current price of AEG on the market. This will keep the price the same for both AEG and KFX for the time being. Initially, this will prevent any major dumps due to a large difference in price. Protecting your investments is a high priority for us, so we are taking these steps to be fair to all investors.
After a set time has passed/amount of Masternodes sold, we will then continue to sell the Masternodes on an exchange. This will hopefully push the price up, as more new investors come in, thus potentially making your investment grow. We are not making any claims, or guarantees about returns on your investments, nor the potential price growth of the coin.
Once the logo and graphic designs are ready, we will update everyone with more swap details, dates, times, etc.
