What Altcoins could be extremely beneficial to invest in?

Currently, what alternate cryptocurrency has the highest likelihood to shoot up in price like bitcoins did, and is still pretty easy to acquire? Pretty much, not considering electrical costs or hardware costs, what coin is the most profitable right now?

I'd say look into NXT.

Litecoin, Peercoin, Namecoin are all old, high market cap, and trusted. When MT Gox adds alt coins, they will be among the first. 2014 may be the year where we see big exchanges that once only traded BTC finally added new ones.

For a bull run? litecoin is set up to take make a good play, either way, short or long, I would say LTC cause the main currency BTC has a rather large community and the larger portion has accepted LTC as here to stay, its tested and proven, there are other high risk alt's but I would think if were talking currency some of the coins out there do not fit in the category, say like master coin, protoshares and the like, they may be in the altcoins list's, but are rather more of a security.

People will probably laugh at me but ElephantCoin [ELP] has been extremely profitable for me the past few months. Had a steep drop to about 0.00000370 LTC a few weeks ago and then shot back up to 0.00017700 LTC within the last week. Seems to be pretty steady now but I wouldn't be surprised if it had another bump before the weekend. Junkcoin [JKC] also appears like it is about to rise in price a bit so it might be a good time to stock up on that as well.

Sexcoin. It's the only one so far that has a massive global industry waiting to make use of it.

If you want something safe and surefire, LTC is good.

If you want a little risk but possible big returns, I would really go with StableCoin.

it really depends what you are after.
I agree Litecoin will be the safest choice, Quark is on the trend lately but there are so many coins already mined and I am not sure it will keep it.
Stablecoin also looks interesting, you should check it out.

Trusted by who? Everyone seems to have a different idea about it. The BTC zealots only trust BTC everything else is a scam. Then next wave of adopters only like PPC LTC NMC everything else is a scam. The next wave love everything they own and the coins they don't are a scam.

Do your own research, people on here will just tell you what their portfolio wants them to say.

Coins with great opportunity... LTC, MEC, DIGI, QRK, CGB WDC, - - For me Digi is very undervalued even now. Right now QRK is the big talk that coin is not going away anytime soon. MEC large following. LTC - well come on everyone needs to hold a bit of LTC. PPC is split a lot hate and lot love. I would hold a little of that too. NMC seems a cool idea, so again hold a bit.

Outright gambles but good chances. TIX ADT NET and some others , gambles can pay off but more risk.

Trusted by the community at large, obviously minus Bitcoin purists. They've been around and popular long enough that it's earned a level of trust. Like you know what it is, who the developers are, what the community is like. That kind of thing.

Worldcoin is your safest bet on a big gain with little risk of pump/dumps or publicity stunts.

not LTC, it's trading at $31, too less upside, too much downside, plus it comes with mentality cap at 0.25 btc.

safest bet is PPC, trading at $4.5, reasonably price for well-established alts, way more interesting than LTC.

SBC - Low market cap, very cheap right now, big upside if it takes off.

DGC - Extremely undervalued right now, even after its recent rise
